My first time here. This is a fine dining Italian restaurant. Lots of tables. A perfect place for a special occasion or hot date. The food was delicious and beautifully plated, the cocktails were great, and the service was outstanding. I highly recommend the Orange Roughy special and the Rice Balls appetizer. Can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu. It’s easily accessible off 278 in the Palmetto Dunes area of HHI. Highly recommended!

The bread/tomato/butter appetizer on the table was delicious. The entrees were alright but some missteps that really made it meh. Soggy breading, undercooked parts. Pasta was fairly hard. Desserts were not good at all. Overall, not impressed with the food and wouldn’t go back. Our service was phenomenal, and our server James was amazing. Best part of the night. The ambiance is nice.

We have returned to coastal capri because we enjoyed the food the first time. We have spent more than 2 months on Hilton head island and after tonight’s dinner coastal capri has become one of our favorites. Tonight we ordered a shrimp appetizer which was superb. The sauce was capri sauce and as the young woman at reception said consistency is the main issue One outstanding amazing occurrences was that the owner I believe remembered what we had ordered. We shared both the starter and the main course and there was no charge. We
will return and recommend it greatly.

This was our third visit and we continue to try everything on the menu. The food has been excellent and Alina has provided
great service every time! I had the Rigatoni Vodka and my wife had the Vitello San Guiseppe. We finished both plates after hoping to take some home. The vodka sauce was fantastic, full of cheese and very tasty.

We had dinner before seeing a show across the road at the Arts Center. We shared calamari. My wife had gnocchi and I had pappardelle bolognese. Both were delicious as was the bread. Our dinner reservations were at 4:45, but before we arrived there was a summer deluge. Many roads were flooded including 278 but it was passable. We were a little late and the restaurant said that some of their staff were late because of the weather. We didn’t notice. The service was very attentive.

Second trip to the island and we came back to Coastal Capri.
My husband had Vitello San Giuseppe and I had Rigatoni Arrabiata. Both were astounding! Photos below.
First time to Hilton Head and we visited this restaurant two nights in a row.
Hands down THE BEST calamari I have ever had. If you like seafood you won’t be disappointed. We had halibut on night one and seafood risotto (special) on night two. It was fresh and perfectly cooked. And the portions were VERY generous!!
Mussels and baked clams (pictured) were amazing.
Service was attentive and fun.
If you are looking for authentic southern Italian cuisine – this is the place.
If you leave hungry – it’s your own fault!!!

The food was amazing! We had the soft shell crab special and the crab and shrimp capellini in a garlic wine sauce. Everything was so fresh and delicious! The atmosphere was both friendly and sophisticated. Even the dish ware was beautiful. And definitely try Flora’s key lime pie! All of the desserts are made by Flora. Everyone was so fun and welcoming! We really had such a special night. Don’t miss it! This is a really impressive family owned restaurant. Make sure to make a reservation!

I have nothing but positive remarks for Coastal Capri. First, after a mistake booking my reservation through Open Table, the hostess was kind enough to call me to accommodate us. During our drive to the island we encountered an accident that delayed us over the 15 minute grace period. We called again and were told that our table would be there no matter what time. It was great to meet the friendly faces that belonged to the voice on the phone.
I simply loved our server Stacy. We laughed and joked with her all evening, listened to her recommendations and overstayed our welcome I’m sure. She could not have been more pleasant nor more attentive on a very busy night. I wish every establishment had someone so enjoyable!!!!
The food is fantastic. Thanks to Chef for coming to our table to speak with us. First, dishes fly out of the kitchen. Thankfully they space everything so that you are not rushed. Salads were chilled and generous. The Caesar was very flavorful and fresh. The Caprese is enough to share for the table. I cannot recommend the mussels diavlo enough. The mussels were cleaned properly….which is a big thing! The sauce was pleasantly spicey and the pasta cooked perfectly al dente. The most amazing thing was that not only was the dish piping hot….it stayed that way from the first bite to the last. I have never had that experience before.
You can’t go wrong with Coastal Capri! Ten out of ten from the front of house to the kitchen!

Came for dinner with friends. The staff was attentive and helpful. The atmosphere was very very loud making conversation difficult. They should consider some sound baffles. I ordered the escarole soup of the day and it was cooked beyond recognition it was basically mush, without any taste. I also ordered the spare rib ravioli, also a daily special. It was lukewarm and the pasta had the minimal of meat stuffing. Again the sauce and ravioli were very very bland. I was here several years ago and it seems as if things have slid a bit.
