This is my go to place for breakfast when traveling through SDF in the mornings. Ham egg, and cheese sandwich is always fresh and hot off the grill. Staff is always friendly, complaints about slow service usually occur when the place is packed. Also complaints about high prices, cmon people, this is an airport restaurant, you’re going to pay a premium.

Located in the airport. One of the few sit down restaurants. Restaurant was clean and you just seat yourself. They have a full bar. Had a meat lover style pizza and it was good. It’s the airport, so the price was a little inflated. Server was sufficient, but didn’t say much to me. Overall, the pizza was served hot and fresh and I would return.

Our server Lorenzo was completely rude to us while we were trying to wait on our flight that was delayed two hours. Got up and moved from bar to a table and he lost it. The manager ended up coming out and closing our tabs and then we left. While at our gate here comes Lorenzo to drag us back to pay cause someone didn’t pay for a drink?? Haha clown show. Do not go here for a pre flight drink cause you will want to jump out the plane after

Coals had great pizza and great service, but we skipped the $20 cocktails. Seemed a little ridiculous when there are liquor stores in the airport where you can buy a bottom for the cost of 2 cocktails. We got the fig jam and prosciutto pizza with a balsamic drizzle. Small but delicious.

The food was okay – not really equivalent to the price, but it was a nice place to sit while waiting for a flight. The soup was better than I thought it would be. So were the arancini. The “mariana sauce” to dip in was basically just smashed tomatoes. While the wedge salad wasn’t bad, it was not worth the price at all. I will say the margarita was very nice though.

SHORT VERSION: Avoid using the QR code system. Waitress incredibly pushy and unprofessional; harassed me about a glitch in the system.
LONG VERSION: Food was overpriced and mediocre, typical for an airport. The real issue would be the service: for patrons dining in, they pressure you into using a glitchy website [via QR code], claiming that the front register is for takeout only. That’s mildly annoying, but worse is that the website glitched to where my boyfriend thought the payment had gone through and evidently hadn’t. My boyfriend boarded his plane, and I walked to my own gate to wait, and there the waitress, Galina, found me and harassed me about the unpaid check. Thankfully my boyfriend still had his phone on and could re do the transaction (unfortunately the website didn’t allow him to take away her tip). When I pointed out that if she would have just let him pay at the register as he’d originally asked, we could have avoided the whole issue in the first place, she got very huffy. I understand that it’s technically neither of our faults, but her being so pushy about using the glitchy website and then finding me and harassing me a full hour after we’d left the restaurant is incredibly unprofessional.

Very crowded and service was good but slow. If you have e at least one hour okay to order food. If not, you may not get to eat. Little pricey, but it’s the airport, right….

So sad to leave such a low rating on a place with such a strong music playlist. However, our server, Angelka, was so inattentive. My friend and I sat at the bar top for roughly 3 hours. I had 2 beers and she had a drink that she took 1 sip out of because she didn’t like it. We waiting for a few minutes to be greeted, I had to flag her down to get my second beverage and then she ignored our existence the rest of the time we were there so my friend didn’t get to have a drink at all. Didn’t order food because she never offered or came by for us to prompt being able to order. We were going to ask for a new drink for my friend and for food but after being there that long we decided to pay out and go to Bourbon Academy Tasting Rook down the hall instead. Terrible service. They could have at least taken off her $22 beverage after all that.
Included her melted ice and full drink in the pictures.

3.5 rating. Decent pizza but pricey. A little under cooked probably because they were so busy (they were swamped but I didn’t wait long … less than 15 min for a takeout). Thus the crust was chewy instead of crispy. $18 for small pepperoni is steep but that’s an airport for you. Overall it was filling but can’t say it was much else.

I recently had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. My group and I sat down to order but didn’t see any servers. We scanned a QR code to order and then went to the To-Go area, thinking we could order there. When the pizza maker asked if we were dining in, we said yes, and he told us to wait for a server. A server told us it was okay, and the cashier took our order.
When our food was ready, the cashier placed it in a To-Go box and left it on our table. We asked the server for plates, and she got upset, saying we ordered to-go even though we clearly stated we were dining in. She eventually gave us small plates but acted rudely.
To add to our dismay, one of the pizza slices had a plastic piece within it. This could have been a major hazard for us eating the meal.
We felt there was no customer service and even sensed some racism in the way we were treated. I hope others don’t experience this poor service.
