Ate a late afternoon lunch at this location (after finding it on GMaps) and had a great experience.
Location was tidy and comfortable, with plenty of options for both drinks and food.
Enjoyed the lasagna pizza with an add on, plus drinks, for the two of us dining. Pizza tasted great, and it was a very chill dining experience.
Would recommend if you’re looking for plenty of pizza options in a comfortable dining experience.

It cost $40 in total for a slim pizza with the toppings on the side instead of on the pizza. Like who wants to add ricotta to a pizza especially during the superbowl lol. Spinach was $3 add on and was pathetic. My first time trying Chicago pizza and just expected better ‍♂️

Wow! The food was delicious!
Great pizzas and friendly service. There is a large variety to choose from and even two vegan options! They even offered 3 non-alcoholic beers in addition to all the alcoholic ones. Our waitress checked in on us frequently. The food comes fairly quickly. There is no rush and you can easily order another pizza if you are still hungry. The white pizza won best pizza by the three non vegans! The ambiance was fine and lights were dim. The restaurant was modern and clean. We will be back again.

After eating here twice, I can safely say it is in my top five favorite dine-in pizza places in Chicago at this point. They have a great selection of delicious pizzas to choose from and the option to build your own, which is nice, too. I had a cocktail on my first visit, which was a while ago but I remember it being satisfying. I will definitely be back and would like to try some other items aside from pizza on their menu. The servers are very nice too!

coalfire pizza illegally refused to seat us in violation of the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), so i unfortunately can’t comment on the food. really really offensive. there are plenty of good restaurants in this area that are welcoming to all, so please do not eat here: support your disabled neighbors and take your money elsewhere.

OVERCHARGED! We walked in to the restaurant and wanted to take a seat because nobody greeted or showed us way, and rude hostess/waitress told us to wait until she lets and shows us where to seat. And then she gave us a table in the middle of the room near restrooms, we asked if we could take another seat closer to windows but she ignored (we assumed they were reserved but nobody came until we left restaurant) Then she was serving us not really pleasant, by the end of our dining she pretended to be nice asking about our kids (to get more tips) our total was 95$ and we gave 8$ tips because of the bad service, after couple of days i checked my credit card and realized i was overcharged – instead of 8$ they charged 18$ for tips. I will get the waitress name next time we get there. She was white big brunette lady. The food is good there!

I recently did the Chicago pizza tour and made a stop at Coalfire Pizza — it completely lived up to the hype. The coal-fired oven gives every pie a blistered, slightly charred crust that’s perfectly crisp at the edges and tender in the middle. Their toppings are thoughtful and high quality; I especially loved the whipped ricotta and mushroom pizzas. The flavor combinations are creative without being over the top, and you can tell the ingredients are fresh and locally sourced. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was casual and fun. Whether you’re craving something classic or something more adventurous, Coalfire is a must-try.

Servers were sweet, but the food was incredibly average for expensive prices, the pizza was burnt and somehow soggy. The charcuterie board had barely any cheese and not worth the price. On top of that, they include a 3.99% service charge as state at the bottom of the receipt that they added this because “operating a restaurant is expensive”. So its expensive and has bad food but they still want to scam you for more money that doesn’t go to the server. Would never eat here again. Vile.

I have finally made my way to Coalfire pizza.

We shared one pizza for two and it was just enough for a meal that day. On another occasion I would have added a starter. I don’t remember the name of the pizza but it has salami, garlic cream, sausage and we loved the combination. I really enjoyed the taste of the dough, it wasn’t bitter or sour, it was perfectly balanced. I loved that it wasn’t dry, the amount of red sauce was good and no need to additional sauce on top. We appreciated the fresh basil
The mulled wine wasn’t the best, but it was ok, and frankly after a fee sips it seemed even better ☺️
The server was very friendly and attentive l, the big guy had great attitude even while working on New Years eve so I really appreciate that.
Great find, will be our pizza spot for now.
