Love the new owner, location and food! I got the sesame tofu for my son and I and we loved it. It’s big and fluffy and hard to tell it’s tofu. Generous amount, lots of sauce to pour over the rice and a little spicy which we really enjoyed that little kick to it. Definitely will be the only spot we got to and it’s so beautiful/cozy inside, would be nice to dine in here for sure also. Glad I snapped a pic before we inhaled the second portion!

Ordered for doordash, what a complete let down. The beef broccoli had uncooked broccoli and 4 pieces of beef which tasted as if it turned. Got egg drop soup with it bc I’m sick and the soup tasted plain as can be and smelled like wet dog. My wife got hibachi chicken and the yum yum was spicy. She hated it. We both had to dip our rice in the juices of the meals to make it have some kind of flavor even still it was the most bland Chinese we’ve ever had. Miso soup was the only thing with flavor and it was entirely salt. Literally spent a lot to have this made and delivered… Never again. When our normal Chinese food place is closed, we just won’t settle for these mediocre type of places. This is like the McDonald’s of Chinese. And McDonald’s would have been a better choice.

Delicious! I just enjoyed a big plate of sesame chicken and fried rice and my stomach is full lol. This place definitely deserves more attention. Yichen’s customer service was also amazing. Thank you guys for a great meal!

We brought our family there tonight! We heard awesome things and guess what the food, atmosphere, service did not disappoint! Food was absolutely delicious!! Every dish was super flavorful and wanted more! We had Chinese food and Japanese sushi! Each dish was super good! Every single person in our group loved the variety of dishes! We also had their Boba and tea drinks and they were 10 out of 10!! Try the Godzilla sushi and the dragon rolls! On the Chinese side there Coal Mine Dragon shrimp was too die for!! That shrimp is on another level of goodness!!! Portion size was great and service was super friendly! Our family had an amazing time! If you never tried this place your missing out on the best Chinese/Japanese fusion in Colorado Springs!!!! Just go and go now!!! You won’t look for another after trying this restaurant!!! The new Owners are making this place on my top best restaurants in the Springs! Bring the family and have fun and sing karaoke too!!!

Had a great experience at Coal Mine Dragon! There was a small mix-up on our bill, and Ruth — who is the new owner — was incredibly kind and took care of it right away. She even brought us a complimentary dessert to make sure we left happy. Wonderful service and a warm atmosphere. Excited to come back and support this place!

We generally go out of our way to order from here. Food is excellent and always on time. On occasion, when we’ve requested extra proteins, the portions don’t always seem to reflect that–but it is hard to tell sometimes. We’d have to order two of the same dish to compare (maybe next time).

Personally the food isn’t worth the cost. Did it taste good, yes but not like really great or anything. All the fried chicken we had in our orders was very dry, hard or impossible to chew. Very little sauce with each of our meals. The fried rice dishes have shrunk yet again and was over stuffed with barely cooked vegetables so you didn’t actually get very much fried rice at all and the flavor was very bland. The crab Rangoon has very little filling and two of them had literally no filling at all.
With that said, we ordered online and did delivery. The food came very fast, was packaged well and came hot. The egg drop soup was very good and the sesame chicken sauce was very good as well. It cost us about $100 for two people. We used to order for two here and have enough left overs for the next day and now it is just enough to feed us for one meal. We’re not large people and we don’t eat a lot. Which is why I say it isn’t worth the price anymore.
In the future, I might stick to their rolls (which are very good), plain rice and all meat dishes and it might make it worth the amount you pay.

So I got Mongolian beef last night and it was all vegetables and very little meat… the vegetables seemed not cooked all the way… I use to love this spot but I may look elsewhere if it continues to be this poor of quality…. dont know if it was just because I was last order of the night or what but very poorly for 18 dollars kinda want 10 dollars back
