Nice place inside, was quiet on a Monday night. Pizza is decent, thin crust pizza. I thought a bit light on sauce but heavy on toppings. Somewhat limited on the liquor choices (they didnt have what it took to make a long island iced tea)

In town for work and staying across the street from this pizzeria I got a pie to go. While the staff and location were nice, I cannot say the same for their pizza. I would put them a notch above the $5 buffet places, it also below any frozen pizza I’ve ever had. I do not recommend their pizza

We ordered Coaches Pizza to go for the team. We arrived late in Des Moines and wanted a quick bite at the hotel. One of our parents had some trouble finding the restaurant, so arrived after they closed. This was not Coaches fault. They had our pizza ready when she got there and pickup was successful.
The quality of the pizza was disappointing. The crust is like eating cardboard and the flavor over all was underwhelming. Teenage kids didn’t eat more than a couple slices and didn’t want the leftovers. We are grateful Coaches stayed open for us, but won’t be ordering again. At $20 a pizza we expected much better.

The pizza itself is awesome, one of my favorite joints. They continue to shrink the size down though. We bought a large ($27 after tax) and it was 13”. Seems pretty crazy to charge $27 for a pizza of that size. Looks like a medium. 6pm on a Saturday night and they only had a few tables. Lack of customers could be connected to the perceived value?

I wanted to give this place a 5/5 but when I walked in to do my pickup order, it took them a few minutes to even acknowledge I was there. A simple, “I’ll be right with you or one moment please” would have sufficed. There was no one else in the restaurant. I could see that they had a few orders they were working on and the food we ordered was delicious. Just needs a little work on their customer service.

Had a great experience here. Food was great, we got two appetizers and two pizzas. We brought our children (2 &5) and they shared our appetizers and pizza and they loved it. I had read previously that someone said it smelled a little like the cigar bar. I did smell that right when I walked it but it was very faint. My husband thought it smelled like a hotel pool. I didn’t even notice it after a couple minutes. Someone else has mentioned they wished they had diaper changing stations in the bathrooms. They don’t in the women’s, but there is also a Family Bathroom that does have a changing station. My only couple complaints is that it seemed like there were only two employees running the whole front of house and so it took us a while to get told to sit wherever we wanted and then to get greated after we did sit. Service was good after that. Also, while everything was great, it is a little pricier. One specialty pizza, one two topping pizza, a spin dip, garlic bread, and two bar drinks (rum & coke and whiskey & coke) was $90. We would go back for sure, it’s just seems more like a splurge treat than a place we would be able to afford regularly.

Sad to report we walked in and the cigarette smell was so strong the thought of food made me feel sick. We immediately walked out. We are not used to that smell anymore since we are rarely around any smoke in public anymore. No one smokes in my family. It’s too bad, it looked like a cute place.
