Located within a smaller food hall in N. 9th St, this restaurant has been there since the food halls inception. The wings, the catfish, the fried pork chops and the cheeseburger are all very tasty. The sides, too, are very good. The fries I had were crunchy with that slight greazy taste to them which is my favorite. The African margaritas is also recommended. The young lady serving us was very smikey and friendly and brought our food out to our table.

I had some time to kill before an appointment and decided to stop into Coach’s for the first time.. and I’m so glad I did. I was honestly blown away by the hospitality.
As soon as I walked up to the window, I was warmly greeted and asked if it was my first time there. I was offered a sample (which alone is a win), and she even asked about allergies, food sensitivities, and whether I minded my food touching..which made me laugh because my sister is that person. That level of attention really stood out.
I sampled the mac and cheese, greens, and yams, and while I was eating, she took the time to walk me through menu options and current specials without rushing me at all. Once I placed my order, the great service kept going, she asked if I wanted ice in my drink, checked how much sauce I wanted on my rib tips, offered condiments, hot sauce, and made sure I had everything I needed.
I usually don’t tip on takeout orders, but I absolutely did this time because the hospitality and customer service were that good. The food was delicious, but the experience is what really sold it for me.
It’s hard to find genuinely good customer service these days, and people are quick to leave complaints but slow to give praise. So this is my shout-out. I enjoyed the food, the hospitality, and the overall experience, and I can definitely see myself coming back.

First off they ask if I wanted a sample of chicken tenders and that was good. Then I seen the catfish fillet and I ordered the 4pc with an extra side. The greens were cooked to perfection and the black eye peas over rice tasted like grams made it. I encourage everyone to check this place definitely won’t be disappointed. While in Milwaukee for my son’s volleyball tournament, we met Eric, the owner of Coaches Soul Food. He invited us to visit, and we’re so glad we did! The fried chicken wings were the best we’ve ever had—crispy, perfectly seasoned, and tender. The catfish was equally delicious. We couldn’t resist sampling the sides: creamy mac ‘n cheese, flavorful black-eyed peas (amazing with rice and hot sauce), sweet potatoes, and phenomenal greens—all served with a tasty beignet. The African watermelon margarita was the perfect touch. This spot is a gem, and we’ll be back every time we’re in town!

Way better than I expected. Normally, I get food from other places in the Eleven 25 food court here. But I was feeling something else today so gave the pulled pork sandwich a try.
I’ll say it was one of the best pulled pork sandwiches I’ve had. The pork was soft and you could taste the flavor along with some nice textures to it. The sauce was just the right amount. I don’t like it when it’s too much and looks like a sloppy joe. This one was more meat to sauce ratio. The sandwich was big. I thought it was going to be small but you can see in the picture it filled up the whole tray.
I will definitely recommend giving the sandwich a try and will be back for it. I’ve also had their chicken and it’s pretty good.
Customer service is the best. They remember my name and face even after months of not coming back.

Had the most pleasant ordering experience on my lunch break today. I was unsure of what to eat in the court and the cashier working the stand offered me a free sample and I was hooked. Amazing chicken tenders, Mac and cheese, and the barbecue sauce is delicious. 10/10 customer service.

The food was so good I forgot to take a picture until it was almost gone. Everything we had was sensational. The mac and cheese was super cheesy, the candied yams were basically dessert, and the catfish was flaky and soft. The drinks were also very reasonably priced and tasty. Plus the customer service was so pleasant. The couple behind the counter was friendly and helped us decide on a meal!
