Old school cool with a calming, dark wood interior. We like to sit at the bar but unfortunately it was full of people who stole our seats! Kidding.
Our server was great. If I recall correctly, he’s been there since before it was opened.
My lamb shank over mashed potatoes was terrific and my date’s filet of beef in pastry (I forget the French name and I’m too lazy to look it up) was delicious.
The topper was the chocolate cake. I’m not a fan of said cake, or I hadn’t been, until I tried this one. I’ll be searching for something as tasty as that one in every bakery I go to.

Charming and cozy steakhouse with good food and great service!
Definite recommendation: the corn pudding, the French onion soup and the steak (pictured here). The corn pudding seems to be very unique and is definitely addictive! Good dessert options as well.
Tip: ask for sauces as they may not be explicitly written on the menu

One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Massachusetts, and hands down the best salmon of my life!
Such a cozy and beautiful space, amazing staff, and incredible food.
I had the best time! ✨

Love this place for dinner, use to be a chain as fewer and fewer folks remember. Wayland is the last holdout, went through several iterations only to come home to what was and is still the best, so thankful for that! Couple blasts from the past shots.

Mackenzie provided absolutely exceptional service during our visit! She made our 4th anniversary dinner truly memorable with her attentiveness, professionalism, and warm personality. The food was incredible. My husband had the New York Strip, and let me tell you, it was the best steak I’ve ever tasted! I had the Seafood Fra Diavlo, which was absolutely delicious and we ended the night with a mud pie ice cream dessert with Oreo crust. We would love to come back and have Mackenzie as our server again, she’s truly top notch!

It was our Christmas Eve dinner, and we had a really great time with perfect service. Every food was good, and the server for our table was very considerate. Definitely recommended for a special day and family anniversary.

I was looking for a restaurant to celebrate my girlfriend’s 55th birthday that featured a fireplace, as she tends to feel cold. I typically go to the Boston or Providence area for fine dining. However, after examining the photos of Coach Grill online, I concluded it was the ideal restaurant with a fireplace. The service, from the host to our waitress Megyn and the food runners, was outstanding, exhibiting professionalism and politeness. Megyn was instrumental in assisting us with the menu and food recommendations. Yvonne ordered the Herb Roasted Chicken, while I chose the pork chop in a sauce, which was undoubtedly the best pork chop I have ever tasted. Megyn kindly offered to take pictures of us by the fireplace, and the host also took a photo of us by the Christmas tree as we departed. We were both extremely pleased with the food and service, as well as the cozy and beautiful ambiance of the restaurant. We frequently visit various restaurants and provide our reviews to assist others in finding excellent fine dining options. Thank you, Coach Grill, for making my girlfriend’s birthday memorable. We look forward to returning very soon.

I’ve been to the coach grill a couple of times and it’s always been a great experience and a quality meal. Service is top notch with very professional and attentive staff. The atmosphere is enjoyable, although it’s a little dark and a rather formal type of venue.

The food is very good. I only rated it 4 stars considering the price, which is quite high. Last time I was there I had the beef wellington, which was delicious. The corn souffle is also a nice little dish worth trying.

We live nearby and used to go here 5-7 times/year. We hadn’t been in a while so 4 of us had dinner on Thursday evening. Sadly, things have gone downhill.
The good: The cocktails were good. Served just as we asked and tasty!
It’s a nice positive vibe but we could hear each other. (We were at a hightop table in the bar section.)

Disappointments: Our waiter forgot 3 of our dishes. He realized when our entrees were served he’d forgotten one. He apologized and it came out quickly. The took off the price from the bill, which was what I’d hope at a good restaurant but still a good move. Apparently, he never put in the two side dishes we requested and never acknowledge they were forgotten.
The fish entree was good and the steak too. The steak frites meat was almost inedible. Really hard on the outside and in a roll. Could barely cut through the “crust”? We also asked to have a baked potato instead of fries. It came with the fries anyway, which I must say were tasty. The baked potato also came.
Lastly, we all know food prices are up significantly. But $15 for a baked potato? Even though it comes with bacon and sour cream, that seems above really steep.
All in all, we won’t be returning again soon. Sadly.

Perfect date night, special occasion dinner or just family time. This restaurant is local Boston steakhouse quality. The steaks were by far the best I’ve had. Cooked too perfection and seasoned. The lobster roll special was a must. Jam packed with lobster meat and the right amount of mayo.

The butterscotch bread pudding is too die for along with their homemade Chantilly whipped cream.

The only negative I have was the sides didn’t really compare to the entrees. Whipped potatoes were lumpy and brussels were just ok. They needed more attention to execution and seasoning.

Will definitely be back again!
