I’ve had lunch and dinner at Co Thu Quan multiple times, and every visit has been a great experience. The food is consistently high quality, and the customer service is excellent. I never have to wait long to be served, which makes dining here even more enjoyable.
The staff are friendly, well-trained, and professional. I visited during the Lunar New Year when the restaurant was beautifully decorated with a festive theme. I saw a customer ask a staff member to help take a photo, and he was extremely willing to assist—even moving a table to create enough space for them. Such a thoughtful and lovely gesture!
I highly recommend trying the Canh Bun here. Absolutely delicious. 10/10!

The pho here is absolutely delicious! The beef is incredibly fresh and tender, and the broth is rich and full of flavor. The noodles were cooked perfectly as well.
Since it was Lunar New Year, the owner even kindly treated us to complimentary drinks, which was such a lovely surprise. We truly appreciated the warm hospitality.
We really enjoyed our Sunday night dinner here — such a wonderful experience. Highly recommended!

This place totally reminds me of street food in Hanoi especially the bun cha. There were heaps of cool things on the menu which made it fun to try different dishes.
The service was great too the staff were super friendly and polite. Overall, a really enjoyable meal and definitely worth coming back for!

We tried 3 dishes and they were all very good. The egg noodle dumpling soup was flavourful with springy noodles, crunchy vegetables and 5 big prawn dumplings. Their prawn spring rolls were also very good, cripy and fresh. Lastly, the seafood rice cake omelette was quite good. I prefer it to be slightly saltier and the rice cakes to be cut smaller, but this was also very good. On my way out, i noticed a cart of condiments (like chilli oil, fresh cut chillies, etc). Next time, i will make use of this too.

Been coming here for years and now I live far away I come back just for this place! All the grilled meat especially is so flavourful and delicious, I especially like the pork with vermicelli sheets although I’ve never been disappointed by a meal here ! Very extensive menu with a great drinks selection too. I ALWAYS get the flan when I’m here with all the extras, my favourite I’ve ever had. Great staff always and very reasonable prices :)))

This Vietnamese street food restaurant serves a variety of food. We ordered three dishes and coffee. The Spring rolls are crispy and served with a delicious sauce along with lettuce. The lemongrass sticky rice is a filling and a tasty main dish and is a must try. The omelette with fish cake comes with a little salad and we loved it.
Highlight for me was the Vietnamese filter coffee with condensed milk. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere and the interior are nice.

TI ordered the Bún Mắm and was thoroughly disappointed. The broth was completely lacking in flavour — flat and uninspiring, with none of the depth you’d expect from this dish. The roasted eggplant had an off-putting taste, almost as if it had gone bad, and the pork belly looked and felt like it had been boiled rather than properly roasted, missing any caramelisation or char entirely.
Despite being famished, I couldn’t get through even half the bowl. For a dish that’s meant to be bold and complex, this fell embarrassingly short. A very poor experience overall — I won’t be returning.

Lunch at @cothuquanmelbourne on Victoria St: delicious no frills Vietnamese food, including some Hanoi style dishes.
Bun cha Hanoi: the pork in the sauce was super flavourful, and was so yummy with dipping the rice vermicelli noodles into it!
Grilled pork with wide rice noodles: very delicious

The Vietnamese dishes offered here is a bit different from the traditional Vietnamese restaurant around. I especially love their pho which are all warm and soft when served on table. The Green Papaya salad is very tasty, not so sour as i usually eat atvthe other place. Worth to go back again.

Co Thu Quan Richmond is a spot I’ve heard about for a while and finally went to try. They don’t specialise in pho but I ordered it anyway and it was absolutely delicious. The noodles were well balanced with a normal medium size and the soup tasted different from your usual chicken style broth. I actually liked that. It was clean with a slight sweet touch but not too sweet. The chicken was cooked well and pretty tender. You know the place is going to be good when the staff are speaking to each other in Vietnamese and the English isn’t all that strong.
Also tried the BBH but with rice noodles. The BBH soup wasn’t spicy at all and could have done with more of a kick. It didn’t fully hit for me. The lemongrass chicken was very tasty. It was tender and nice but definitely on the oily side. The rice was cooked well and the veggies were all good.
Overall a solid experience with some good dishes but a few things that could have had more flavour.
