The only place in Rockville I would revisit over and over again. Great place to treat guests and celebrate milestones. Treated my mom and sister and they absolutely loved it. The ambiance, service and food was all great.

Mussels were delicious
Octopus was also a great choice, it came with crispy bread crumbs and well cooked crispy potatoes.
Meatloaf was the only one I was not fond of. Liked the sides it came with but the meatloaf had herbs which I didn’t like. It was not very moist nor special. Will not get it next time.
Bread pudding with ice cream was one of the best dessert I had this year.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed Clyde’s and we will come back to try more items on the menu!

Had thanksgiving dinner here and let me tell you- the food was amazing! We opted for the pre-fixe menu. Food came out really quickly. The ham and turkey were just perfect. The drinks were also great. Ambience is pretty with the lights. Service was in point! For our first time we were very impressed and will definitely return

One of the better dining options in Rockville, MD. Been coming here for close to 20 years. Was mad when Clyde’s was sold couple years ago and then they changed their menus (no more happy hour, bar and late night menus), got rid of their head chef (Jeff) and made other changes. I used to frequent weekly but now only a few times a year.

The food is still good though and it’s probably a handful of upscale American restaurants in Rockville. Among my favorites are their buffalo wings (order them double dipped), burger, Reuben sandwich, steaks, crab cakes and when they have it their lobster specials.

This place was amazing! Everything looked fresh and it felt like this restaurant really put care into our service. Our server was friendly and thoughtful but not overbearing. The atmosphere was beautiful and clean, it was very busy but it didn’t feel packed or like we didn’t belong.

Came for my and my grandads birthday dinner and everything was perfect. Our server Cliff (Jr) was the best and the fire was amazing.

We started with a round of cream of crab soups, and the Bavarian pretzel. Both were about as good as can be. Soups were kind of small but filled with big crab pieces, and some of the best I’ve ever had. The pretzel had a cheesedip with a bacon flavor which was spot on.

For dinner we good oysters, rib eye, and crab cakes. Me and my dad split a double crab cake and a rib eye. Cliff had the rib eye split so we each got our own plate with dipping sauce, and the crab cake plates and fries were split. What a guy!

The crab cakes had the biggest chunks of lump I’ve ever seen, and barely any bread filler. Actually I’m not even sure if there was any breading it was so meaty. Rib eye was spot on. My Grandad said the oysters were kind of small, but still great.

Overall, 10 for 10 as usual. This was my third birthday dinner here.

Clyde’s Tower Oaks Lodge is our favorite place to eat when we are in the area. We will always make a reservation and have a dinner when we are in town.
I get the ribeye steak and my husband often gets the crab cakes which are both delicious. Service is great and the restaurant is clean. All in all a wonderful place to eat and we have taken may friends and business partner there.

We decided to have a business lunch at Clyde‘s in Tower Oaks and it just happens to be the perfect location for a good company lunch!

Our waiter Jared was very helpful in explaining the menu and making suggestions of drinks that would best suit my taste and my colleagues.

The environment made it easy to talk and actually understand each other while the food was also delicious.

I want to end this review with the notion that no matter how beautiful, elegant and classy a place is, when the service is top notch, it makes all the difference in the world!

I have to also mention that I was also impressed with the decor!

I will definitely recommend this place!

Their hunting lodge motif might be a bit kitschy, but the food and service are great. I highly recommend both the ribeye and the trout. Their calamari appetizer is excellent. For dessert, you can’t go wrong with either the chocolate cake or the bread pudding. And its good value for money as well; we spent $354 for a 5-person meal, before tipping. I’d call it a solid four-star meal.

I traveled a good distance to try this place and I will say. It was good, but being it’s Clyde’s I expected a bit more. The kids tenders looks like something you would get from the movie theater, my beef birria tacos were really good though! So was the shrimp tacos. The mac n cheese was not a hit what so ever.. Our service was great! Lastly the bathroom was really, really, really clean! Which was a plus for me. You show me a nice restaurant with a dirty bathroom and you have shown me a not so nice restaurant. That wasn’t the case here

This is a must visit restaurant if you’re visiting Rockville. The attire is a bit dressier than casual but not fine dining. The uniqueness of this restaurant includes fairy lights, a scenic window that makes you feel you’re deep in a forest. The food was very good. The best calamari I’ve had in a long time. We were a party of 15 and they did their best to accommodate us on the same day. The service was slow but she was very nice and attentive. I would 100% go back here. Great date night restaurant as well.
