We stopped here for lunch after our ride on the nearby Palatka to Lake Butler paved trail! The food was great and it was big portions. I really felt like we got our moneys worth. I was also cooked to order, you could see them preparing it in the kitchen. LuLu had the patty melt, I had the Philly cheese steak sub. It was 93° outside it could’ve been a tad cooler inside but it was OK. Like I said we just got done riding our bikes 16 miles on the trail. We will be back!!

Update. We were out thrifting in our local area and decided to try Clyde’s Cafe again. We shared a Reuben Sandwich, chips and the yummy spicy pickles. I would call this lunch OK. The corned beef was thickly sliced and although it was tender we agreed that we prefer it to be shaved or thinly sliced. I would have preferred more Thousand Island dressing on it but that’s on me for not asking. We are also not fans of bagged kettle chips, we should have ordered the potato salad or Cole slaw. The pickles were delicious. Service was great.

My family and I were staying in Hawthorne for the weekend, and decided to try Clyde’s for breakfast. We are so glad that we did. Just like the name, it’s a cozy corner cafe. Breakfast was amazingly delicious, great value and Excellent service. My son devoured his pecan waffle. The sausage patties are yummy and definitely homemade. My husband enjoyed the biscuits and gravy. I couldn’t make up my mind on which eggs benedict to order and was so happy to have the option to order individual servings of each. Both were delicious, and I liked the eggs florentine the best. Highly recommend!

Delicious omelette with vegetables caramelized the way they should be. Outstanding! A thing of beauty!!! I like that toast and potatoes are offered but not included in the price of the omelette as my husband and I are following a ketogenic diet. Service was excellent even though there was 1 server on duty. She rocked it! Tuesday April 5, 2022 about 10 AM. We’ll be back!

The food was good, but service was not the best. Upon entering the restaurant, we waited to be seated. After a few mins a customer told us that we seat ourselves. So we took a seat & our waitress came to get our drinks & take our order. The only time she came back was to bring us our food-no refills, no how is everything; and she wasn’t even the 1 to bring us our check. Once we got the check, we didn’t know if they came to the table to get it or if we took it to the registers.

We are in the area for the month and have stopped at Clyde’s for breakfast twice! It’s a lovely, homey diner. I enjoyed the breakfast pita pocket as well as the build your own omelette. My husband had eggs, ham and grits both times and was happy with his meals. Very reasonable prices and very friendly servers. Will certainly be returning before we leave the area.

We stopped for breakfast after my doctor appointment in Keystone. The coffee was wonderful & the food was hot, tasty, & plentiful. All the girls working were very nice, especially our server. Really awesome experience & we’ll definitely be back soon.
