this place has plenty of room for improvement. For their prices they need more attention to training and detail.
Last nights service pace was spotty. So much that i missed calling for my second drink.
Onion rings were heavily coated. not our style. No new forks after the onion ring course.
The kitchen split Caesar salad had fresh anchovies on mine only, as requested. The 2 (two) small 3/4” pieces of filet were lost to my palate.
Food was well presented, though too long after our salads were finished. I’m not sodium sensitive but the scampi sauce the scallops were on tasted too salty to me.
There were butter plates and knives on the table. They remained empty the entire time.Bread never offered or brought. Maybe the $172 before tip did not qualify us for complimentary bread. We did not request it because we would not have done more that barely taste it anyway..
Our 2 person table was tippy. We reported it to the hostess. Such things as a tippy table suggest this place needs more oversight.
We will not be going back.

A very unassuming place from the outside, but The food and the service was excellent. Our server, Reilly, did an outstanding job. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for an upscale dining experience near Bolton Landing.

One of my favorite fine dining places around. Sea Bass is possibly best I’ve had. Scallops over black rice is sooo good. Never had black rice but it is really good. Piper in the bar is top notch. Wish they stayed open all winter.

Not sure why Google page was not updated but. Great food and very good service. Very historic restaurant that was built in 1888 cool decor. Lady’s when you go upstairs don’t forget to say hello to your man from the balcony… kinda makes you feel like in princess time.

I have never paid more for such a bad meal. I ordered the NY strip for $75.00. I’ve had the same grade of steak at Sizzler or Golden Coral for $14.99. Nothing but muscle & tendon. My wife had the gnocchi which was equally bad as it was just balls of heavy dough. Would not recommend this place at all.

They had no French fries like how are you a steak house and have no French fries?! The cream spinach was terrible it gave my whole family stomach aches after. It was just not worth the price at all I do not recommend.

We had the most phenomenal dinner at Club Grill- (and always do!) Tonight was one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. Our server Lincoln was exceptional- warm, knowledgeable & incredibly attentive without ever feeling overbearing. He made us feel completely taken care of the entire experience.
My husband ordered the Wagyu filet mignon & I had the classic filet- both were insane. Perfectly cooked, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and so flavorful we were still talking about them hours later. You could truly taste the quality and care in every bite.
10/10!!!

It’s exactly what you’re hoping for in a classic steakhouse. The service was great and the food was great and it was in a really cool building that has an old feel to it. We took a shuttle from the Sagamore which was really nice. Things are definitely expensive here, but it’s good for a special occasion.

Service was awful. Upon being seated, we were given water and offered lemons. 2 of the 4 of us requested lemons, we never received them. We ordered a Caesar salad, cowboy steak, truffle steak fries, and spinach. Before we even got the salad, the waitress tried to sell us on their bacon and kept pushing additional glasses of wine even when we said we would let her know. When the steak was being served, the waiter said, “only one steak?” My son doesn’t eat steak and it was plenty for the rest of us. Who is he to judge?!? The spinach was inedible and the steak fries had no truffle at all. We informed the staff on our reservation and upon sitting that we were celebrating a birthday. They brought dessert, did not include a candle and ignored the birthday celebration request. The chocolate mousse dessert, was not mousse, more like a ball of cold fudge. I am sad and disappointed in this experience. All of The Sagamore restaurants are 5 star and this was not. After all of this, both my husband and I were sick all night and the following day.

Obviously the place has been around for a while and has not taken any interest in updating anything in the restaurant. Although part of the Sagamore it is not located within the Resort. It’s a couple of miles away out of town at the golf course, which was a total mistake on our part because we thought it was part of the resort at the lake. They seated us on the porch which contains uncomfortable wooden chairs with no padding which are so uncomfortable, it contains lighting so you feel like you’re at a cafeteria, and no ambience or music whatsoever so that you can distinctly hear your neighbor’s conversations. The food was average. We ordered steak, it did not come out hot and it was served on dinner plates which kept no heat in the steak. This is allegedly a steakhouse, they should know better and serve their stakes on metal plates that keep the steak hot. The dinner’s plates were shaped so that your fork would roll off the dinner plate onto your lap if you were not careful, this happened to both of us sitting at the table. The wine list contained no French wines. The entire evening was a total disappointment. I would not recommend this place to anybody, It was expensive, had no atmosphere, and was actually a bit depressing. The hostess and waitress were very nice, but I don’t only want a nice host and nice waitress I want a total wonderful dining experience and this restaurant does not deliver that. Do not waste your money or your time you will be disappointed.
