Meatballs are incredibly tasty as is the whipped cheesecake.
The star is the Detroit Square Pizza. It is without any doubt, the best tasting pizza I’ve had of any variety, anywhere in the World. The crust has a gentle burn around the crispy edges. Sauce is tangy without being acidic and the cheese is the final ingredient to make it all harmonise.

We stopped here on our way home to try the “OG” Detroit style pizza. It was a birthday trip and planned as this was one of the only places we haven’t visited yet. From the start the hostess seemed annoyed. She made the statement to another table that they dont schedule staffing correctly. We were told it may take a while for service and that was not the problem. The problem I had with the experience was our waitress took the order and never came back. So much lack of communication. Someone asked why the long face. . . It was because my other half had to go to the bar to get a refill; when his drink was emptied before our pizza was served. I had to ask for the ranch we ordered from someone that brought out our food. She did not know what table she was serving to. Our waitress never came back to the table. Someone else was suppose to take over our table and never came over. And frankly the only thing that tasted good was the cheese bread. Definitely not coming back.

Great Detroit pizza. This is my 3rd out of the 3 pizza place we visit this weekend. Cloverleaf is blah. Not great…Started in 1946, it is a bar and pizza place that prides itself in its family history, I got a small cheese It was good but a little on the well done side didn’t put enough sauce so the cheese burned on top forming a burn bubble. Definitely the best priced out of the 3. Service was basic nothing wow.

This family-owned restaurant offers a unique Detroit square pizza experience. The service provided is truly commendable and creates a welcoming atmosphere. The pizza itself boasts a remarkably crunchy and buttery crust that is a delight to eat. While the pizza is highly recommended, the Greek salad could benefit from some improvements. Overall, it’s a worthwhile dining experience for pizza lovers.

This used to be the best pizza place around. Pizza wasn’t very good. My husband ordered the gluten free, he said it was not good, nothing like it once was. We won’t be back unless they clean the house. It’s in need of a major remodel. At the very least clean the chairs! I hope the kitchen isn’t a reflection of the dining room. Sorry Cloverleaf.

My wife and I have been here a few times, but last night was probably our best visit. We stopped in for an impromptu dinner date on Valentine’s Day hoping to get a seat. We were seated, and even though they were busy on V-Day our food was fantastic and our service was on point. Very happy we stopped in.

We’re very fortunate to have our choice of great pizza in the Metro Detroit area. Even among great pizza places, Cloverleaf stands out as one of the best.

I was surprised how early they closed on Friday night, but I’m glad the staff gets a much needed break at the end of the mad rush that is Friday evening.

Great pizza, good bar selection, awesome bread basket, and the service was great too.

Cloverleaf Bar & Restaurant is our go-to Detroit style pizza place. The food and the service are always impeccable, and it keeps us coming back.

The pizza is by far the best Detroit style pizza around. There are others, but none of them can compare. The “old style pepperoni” is our topping of choice and for good reason. Make sure you also have room for the crunchy bread. It’s a slightly different type of bread, soft and sweet, but oh, so good.

The customer service is some of the best in the industry bar none. I may be slightly biased because we go quite a bit, but it’s proof that they take the time to relate to their customers. They will make you want to come back.

Cloverleaf is a top-notch restaurant, and we will continue to be a patron of this establishment.

The best chicken piccata in Eastpointe and surrounding area. I had it twice recently. I don’t need to mention the pizza other than my favorite being the bruschetta. The limited hours since the lockdowns are a drag as I would like to dine in and hangout in the bar area with friends and family a bit later. It’s a great staple of old East Detroit that I would recommend to anyone not hip to a Detroit style pizza.

Ordered carryout and they have very good pizza, but the old lady on the phone who took our order and was also the one who checked us out was very rude both on the phone and in person. They should replace her with someone less miserable to deal with the customers.
