Heard about this spot from a few locals and finally decided to see what the buzz was about. I ordered takeaway, and within ten minutes, I was heading back to the office with a bag full of heavenly smelling food.
I went with the butter chicken and garlic naan and both were standouts. The butter chicken was rich but not heavy, with tender, flavorful chicken in a silky sauce that soaked perfectly into the rice. The naan? Fresh, soft, garlicky, and the perfect tool to scoop up every last bit of that sauce.
What really made the experience, though, was the hospitality. The woman at the counter was warm and welcoming, she threw in a bottled water and a small dessert on the house. That dessert, some kind of fruit based treat, was the perfect finish to the meal.
Honestly, the hardest part of the whole experience was making it back to work without diving into the bag on the spot. If you haven’t tried Clove yet, you’re missing out. I’ll definitely be back.
The customer service was excellent too — warm, attentive, and surprisingly fast. Our food came out quickly, and the staff made sure we were taken care of the whole time. You can really tell they take pride in what they do.
If I had to mention one downside, it’s definitely on the pricey side. And while everything else was top-notch, the garlic naan didn’t quite live up to the rest of the meal — it was a bit underwhelming compared to how amazing the other dishes were.
Still, if you’re looking for high-quality, authentic Indian food with fantastic service, Clove is absolutely worth it. Just be ready to spend a little extra — it’s that good.
The lunch buffet was totally worth it. This restaurant had the best quality of food of any restaurant I’ve tried in USA. The lunch buffet options are great and the food tastes like it’s freshly made!
Kudos to clove fine dining restaurant for such great taste of India in Easton.
Also, the prices are affordable as compared to other restaurants in the town! The buffet was $20 per person and totally worth it. Some people may find options too limited, but the quality of food you get out weights the slightly limited variety.
I ordered the dal makani and it was one of the best I’ve had in my Indian food passionate life. My friends were also very happy with what they ordered. Service was lovely, presentation lovely.
Very clean restroom.
When I’m in Easton again, I’m definitely coming back.
It was my first time having shai korma and that may be a new staple of mine. Mild, creamy, but very deep layers of flavor.
I typically do not enjoy biryani, but this was hands down the best biryani I’ve had. Succulent, flavorful, with the perfect amount of heat.
We were treated to bhajis and pakoras, as well as rice pudding. All were divine.
The food was excellent but this was a great reminder that there is so much more to a dining experience. We look forward to sharing a meal at Clove whenever I’m in town visiting my parents.
