I have never had better sushi in my life. Ordered the cloud nine roll, the spicy salmon roll, the high chair roll, and the pot of gold roll. They were so good. I very rarely give out 5 stars unless it is deserved and this place is definitely deserving. The fish was fresh and the rice perfect. Their chili sauces are a must. We also got miso soup and let me tell you, that was the best miso soup I’ve ever had. It was even better then the soup I had in Paris. I’d you come here you should definitely get the miso soup. Its even better then miso soup in Japan. The cooks were very polite and friendly and there is a good amount of seating. It did take a little bit to get the sushi but not too long (we also got a lot of rolls so you will probably have to wait less.) in the picture with the 3 rolls I had to edit an arm out of the picture so the top right roll is actually longer In real life. Best sushi I’ve had. Come here if you are in Truckee, I highly recommend it.

This was formerly a pop-up restaurant opened only on Wednesdays! Just recently they expanded their hours to offer their excellent options to more than just locals. They do not have indoor seating (yet?), making the “dine in” option weather dependent. To go is a good alternative. Order at the window and your rolls and sushi will be delivered to your outdoor table with a happy attitude. We’ll be back!

Overpriced window ordering with a very grumpy staff. You can sit outside in the parking lot but the cups are dirty and the water is gross. The food was honestly pretty good but we wouldn’t be back.

Killer new sushi spot in downtown Truckee! Fish is incredibly fresh, menu has some delicious sounding rolls as well as sashimi and nigiri offerings. (Plus $5 large beers on Wednesdays!) Hard to find sushi for lunch in this town, so this was a great find! Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!

Hands down the best sushi in Truckee! Flavors, freshness of the fish, attention to detail is all top notch. The crispy quinoa on the rolls is something I haven’t seen and it’s incredibly delicious. Highly recommend you add this spot into your Wednesday rotation.

Sushi of the hidden cloud is impressive. Who would’ve thought that there such quality sushi up here in Truckee. All the raws are fresh and beautifully made.
What’s weird is that they take reservations and the workers are surprisingly uptight about it. We were there at open and 2 tables were reserved for a party that’s gonna be there in 40 min. It was shaded, and it’s hot and sunny. So we figured we ordered and we’ll be done before these folks even show up, but we were told to move and can’t sit there by the server. Rather unreasonable, and with limited outdoor only seating, it doesn’t make much business sense to take reservations. I think more money can be made if it’s just first come first serve first serve. And I think owner can be a bit more lax on the seating protocol
