I came here on a friend’s recommendation after checking out the ratings, and I’m so glad I did. The entrance was simple, with a temporary name board, so I wasn’t sure what to expect—but the moment I walked into Cloud Naan – Urban Desi BBQ, I was pleasantly surprised. The interior was beautifully and colorfully decorated with traditional Pakistani truck art. I absolutely loved the vibrant truck-inspired decor—the channaks, umbrellas, and the little boards featuring fun, classic quotes you’d typically see on the back of trucks. It truly felt authentic and full of character.
We ordered the butter chicken and Lahori fish. While we were waiting to break our fast, the staff kindly offered complimentary samosas and dates, which was such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture. The food took a little while to come out, but let me tell you—it was completely worth the wait.
The butter chicken totally blew me away. I’ve tried so many different versions of butter chicken and chicken tikka masala over the years, but this was by far the best. The sauce was unbelievably delicious—I honestly couldn’t stop eating the curry on its own. It was rich, flavorful, perfectly balanced, and pure comfort in every bite.
The Lahori fish was also amazing—crispy on the outside, tender and packed with flavor inside. And the naan? Absolutely incredible. Soft, fluffy, and light—like little clouds, just like the name of the restaurant suggests. It paired perfectly with the curry.
The servers were incredibly kind and radiated positivity and warmth, which made the whole experience even more special.
I honestly was not expecting the food to be this good. I walked in curious and walked out completely blown away. Highly, highly recommend Cloud Naan – Urban Desi BBQ. And of course, everything is halal.

Big on checking-out new & local businesses, so I pulled-up to Cloud Desi BBQ near my gym. Upon entry, you will be greeted by a very-welcoming gentlemen called Malik, and some snacks/coffee while waiting for your food (dining-in). I ordered the butter chicken which was absolutely delicious, and the naan bread was some of the best that I’ve had (soft/moist/fluffy), since most naan’s out there are pretty dry/crusty/flaky. The interior is also really decorative and clean, which you won’t find in most other similar places. I look forward to going back and trying other menu items.

Just had the incredible pleasure of visiting Cloud Naan Urban Desi BBQ at their soft opening in Santa Ana. We ordered the Namkeen Ghost, Chicken Karahi, Chapli Kabab, and Tandoori Roti—every dish was fantastic and tasted authentically Pakistani. The real star was the Karak Chai; it was an absolute hook! Can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend.

First time visiting this location and everything was outstanding! The chai is one of the best ever and it’s on the house!! We ordered few different type of naans to try em all and we’re not disappointed at all! Chicken karai was on the point and the gola kabab was on point! Honestly where do I begin. I took my in laws for food and my tatti friend tagged along. The service from the beginning was shocking. We were told there was a 20 mintues wait for food, which was accepted. We got our for an hour and 30 mintues later and it arrived cold. We were then told our mixed grill be another 5 mintues. We were stupid enough to belive it will arrive in 5, which it never did. The people are nice but they need to work on the service and food quality.
