Cloud 9 Bar & Grill – Erie
We had reservations for four and were seated right away. The restaurant wasn’t crowded, and we were placed in a cozy side room that was perfect for conversation.
Service was good overall, though the older gentleman at the front was a bit short with our waitress.
We started with the crispy duck wings tossed in à l’orange — delicious, and the sauce was amazing! My husband had the 10 oz New York striploin with green beans and chimichurri with no complaints. I ordered the roasted Atlantic salmon with herbed couscous, roasted asparagus, and chimichurri — cooked perfectly and full of flavor.
The burger and shrimp risotto ordered by the other couple were also very tasty.
Would definitely recommend for a relaxed dinner with great food. We all agreed that we would definitely come back again before a game!

We are unsure why this restaurant only has a 4.5 rating on Google. In our estimation it should be at least a 4.7 or 4.8. The drinks were amazing and the food was out of this world. From the croque madame flatbread, duck wings and peach salad to the chimichurri salmon and seared duck breast, the food was well seasoned and excellently prepared. The lemon blueberry tart and creme brulee were an amazing end to a stellar meal. We highly recommend and will return.

The duck was really good, but my date got the tacos and it didn’t say they were spicy anywhere in the menu and she couldn’t eat them. Besides that it was a great experience.

Cloud 9 is great! We had a party of about 15 people and were able to reserve a private room. The food was AMAZING (10/10) and service was wonderful. They also have a kids menu if you have children joining.

Was visiting Erie for the eclipse and decided to try Cloud 9 for dinner. For starters, I had the French Onion soup and my friend had the lamb meatballs. She said the meatballs were delicious and well seasoned. The soup had good flavor, but the slice of cheese they laid on top wasn’t broiled to crispy but tasted a little burnt. For dinner, she had the shrimp scampi risotto and I had the flat iron steak salad special. The shrimp were well cooked but the risotto was very acidic. The steak salad was good, but the steak was overcooked. Homemade blue cheese dressing was delicious though. Overall a decent meal, but overpriced for what we received.

I couldn’t get over just how much space is behind the bar! If the bar didn’t have such ballroom dancing space behind it, I’m sure there would be room for at least 6 more 4-tops. Just the same, it is nice for the bartender to be able to have that much room, I suppose and when it is busy, maybe the two bartenders could dance! The service was excellent. The food was delicious. The recipes were standard Americana, although many were clearly French-inspired. I had so much fun visiting this restaurant, which, based on the website as well as the interior design, leads as much more of a wine bar than a restaurant. They have a full menu and a full bar, so don’t be fooled – and the selections are all quite impressive, foods and drinks. I asked the bartender to pair my wine for me – she did a perfect job. I loved the escargot and the salmon so very much. Those around me were friendly. It feels like a welcoming neighborhood bar, right in the heart of the city. I had a lovely experience.

We dropped by for dinner before a graduation. Everyone in our party of seven found something to their liking on the menu. The meat-cheese board was a hit. Apparently the escargot was good also. I liked my cauliflower crust pizza. Our waitress was great at getting our order in so we didn’t fall behind schedule.

This was a very nice place! It is right next to a parking garage, which makes it convenient IF you are ok spending $5 on parking. There is even a backdoor entrance from parking garage. The atmosphere is very nice, and the service is top notch. The drink selection was huge (and delicious), and the menu was a nice size with both reasonable and pricey meals, depending on your budget.

We had a wonderful dinner and experience at Cloud 9! Our waitress was exceptional, providing additional information regarding weekly features and ongoing events, such as a wine pairings experience in December. The environment was calm and relaxing, while dining, and we did not lack for attention from our server during our meal. We highly recommend Cloud 9!
