A little reprieve in the middle of peaceful and scenic nowhere. And the food was good! Worth the drive. Kids watched a helicopter land and played corn hole. Also saw an elk cow chilling in the grass.

Called to place an order on Sunday, October 12th at 2:21 PM as they were having a special for a turkey and dressing lunch/dinner. Placed an order for two of the specials and was told it would be thirty minute wait, which, for me, was acceptable. I arrived and was told — after standing and waiting five minutes for someone to greet me and two other groups of patrons — that my call-in order was not ready. That’s it. No estimate, no apology, no one with enough decency to come and provide some sort of update after waiting another 30 minutes. I promptly left at 3:21 PM (an entire hours wait). Whoever thought it would’ve been a good idea to serve a Thanksgiving-style school lunch on a Sunday without a clue in the world should be fired. Wouldn’t waste my time or recommend this place to anyone.

I have always loved this little gem in the hills and even more so as it continues to keep not only consistent amazing food but innovative additions that stay true to their underlying taste and style.
I realized that after 20 years plus of eating here I had never tried their hotdog, and it was a major lacking on my behalf. It is in my opinion the best hotdog you can find locally and would recommend it without hesitation.

The location is beautiful and lots of wildlife to see. Elk, Deer, Owls… Whats not to love? The Steak is 10/10 and the desert. The wait time was a bit long and the potatoes were instant which I was very disappointed about. Overall a nice restaurant and atmosphere.
