This restaurant is located in an indoor food court with a clean environment and ample sitting space. Overall the food is delicious, but it leans toward the spicy side. If ordering for your child, i recommend to request a milder spice level. The portion sizes are also smaller compared to Middle Eastern cuisine.

First time here. I had the falafel and dolmas. Both excellent and full of flavor. Also the first time trying Vimto and I loved it. Tastes similar to strawberries and cream soda. My husband had the beef shawarma plate and said it was very good. I want to try the Aleppo salad and the falafel sandwich so we will definitely be back!

We ordered delicious to-go dinners of shawerma and rice, one lamb & one chicken, both delectable! (Usually spelled “shawarma”, it is the meat of the “doner kabob” thinly-carved at vendor-stalls all around Europe amd the Middle East.) No skimping on the meat, here, all tender and tasty. Dilicately spiced. Highly pleasing! The Syrian Kitchen here in Salem is so well organized, so clean, so authemtic, so easy to find at Fork Forty downtown. An International treat, it adds wonderful variety to Salem’s excellent food choices.

FANTASTIC FLAVORS, oh, Myyyy! If we only had Syrian food like this on our side of the mountains, we’d be in full-blown Heaven. Chicken shawerma plate with salad and rice, babaganoush with pita bread and a piece of pistachio baclava—all were so incredibly flavorful and delicious! Don’t miss this place. Ambiance is urban mini-mall, so it might be preferable to take food to a lovely park or home. Enjoy!
