Service was nice but you can tell they’re still kinda new and ironing out the kinks in the system to streamline everything. They let me walk around to take photos and enjoy the vibes bc I was so in awe hehe.
I’m still dreaming about the French onion soup honestly Spaghettini was creamy and so rich in flavor (and you can taste the seafood very well). The clink! burger pleasantly surprised me and was so flavorful. The potato mille feuille was also delish. Not a single miss honestly!
The drinks were fun but a bit overpriced in my opinion. I’d save the money toward getting dessert but that’s just me. By all means go for it if you enjoy drinks and/or want photos with them.
Even the bathroom felt like an art exhibit…that’s how beautiful everything was.
for all the men: take your lady here and take cutesy photos for her. HUGEEEE AURAAA HUGEEE POINTS
10.
1. Food was excellent
2. The service one of the best I never seen before
3. The atmosphere incredible looks minimalist and clean.
4. We enjoyed everything
5. Fair prices
Things to be better
1. The portions can be better (bigger) , special for big plates on the menu our expectations are different to whatever received
2. No sides on big plates, I never expected received just a tiny piece of meat or a fish filet by his self that was a weird thing, I understand the chef about that but when they offer a full dinner course and offer an experience, not separate plates.
I been before in a lot high level restaurant and let me tell you guys the food toy makes tastes amazing, beside the two things I mentioned everything was perfect.
I’ll come back for sure and recommend this restaurant, I hope something change!
Our waitress was amazing I forgot her name but she was super nice!!
The French classics like the French Onion soup are spot on as well as duck a la’ orange and the poulette chicken has a Dijon sauce that will have you licking the plate! There are many Gluten Free and Dairy Free dishes as well as some kid-friendly options, something for everyone. Delicious drinks include the Goldilocks bubbly cocktail and frose rose, all are crafted to perfection. Our favorite meal has been the escargot, French onion soup, poulette and potato stack with pot de creme for dessert! The steak is also fantastic, all sauces are worthy of their own spotlight! The entrees and sides are plenty large enough to share.
My favorite spot to sit is on the lower level under the trees, but the upper level is light and bright and the bar seating gives you a front row seat to watching the bartenders in action!
Don’t miss taking a selfie in the telephone booth or ladies~ a ladies room that will make you think you’ve transported out of town!
Overall, this place is not to be missed, date night, ladies night, a group gathering in the Champagne Room or a solo night out to reward yourself.
Oh, almost forgot about the espresso martini on tap… don’t sleep on it!
This time the thre of us shared all of our orders so that we could try a little of everything. Let me tell you. That is the way to do it. So many amazing flavors! The use of the different spices and sauces was line nothing I have ever tasted. So Amazing., so beautifully plated. It truly is an art. The Duck L’Orange had an amazing orange marmalade. phenomenal. Also ordered the bison pasta. The spices were perfect. I planned on ordering the green beans almandine but we went with the roasted carrots instead. So unique and so good. So glad we changed our minds. Had the green beans the first time and knew I lined them. I would order all of it again. Also tasted the cauliflower and the quail. Perfection. I really can’t wait to go back again. And share the table. My compliments to the chef and her cooks!!
sweet little haven. Pleasantly greeted and seated by Kayla on a plush teal colored banquette in a space reminiscent of Parisian streetside bistro – all white lattice and a large lovely tree covered in pink papery roses. The mirrored windows look out to Salem downtown lights and give the room a spacious feel. The decor displays real thought in every element…(ladies – you must take a trip to the bathroom!) Interior lowlights and soft jazz melodies in the background completed the cozy romantic atmosphere we were looking for..(and sadly deficient in many places in Salem). We brought our own special bottle of Champagne well worth the corkage fee – Vintage 2000 Duval-Leroy Femme – and by divine chance – Clink! is a women-owned enterprise. Our server was Courteney and she was delightful – smiley, sweet and energetic. Now! The Food! French onion soup was rich, dark and intensely flavored, cauliflower and smoked farro (we love cauliflower but never had it done like this), Escargot en croute – buttery, garlicky and the en croute crisp perfection, the Bison in handmade Pappardelle was smoky gamey just like it’s meant to be, the Duck a l’orange is my jam – a huge, and I mean huge, portion of breast and leg quarter in Grand Marnier with fresh orange, sherry vinegar demi-glace. We were gifted with the Brioche Pop-Up and French butter – as a bread addict – it was orgasmic (I immediately gave up on recovery for my addiction). Okay – so yes, we were absolute piggies and decided to just give in to our sweet cravings – Eggnog Cheesecake and Carrot Cake – and no! Not just any old Carrot Cake – chock full of walnuts, colorful pansies and a special sweet rich glaze-y sauce made from carrots! And finished with a Fine Tawny Port. We were especially fortunate to have Britney, the Chef herself, deliver a dense sweet cookie with a bright red candy shatter. The evening was a smashing success – the Food, the Service, the Ambience! And – then the ladies room…over- the-top-elegant and perfectly in sync with the stylish restaurant decor. Just a small thing we noted – the service of each course over the entire dinner was just a little too quick – we felt overwhelmed at first with all the plates on the small bistro table – this was a fine dining experience that we wanted to savor, and so we made it work..and it was lovely!
Merci beaucoup, Clink!
The best French Onion Soup that I have had.
Amazing Duck.
Fresh oysters with delicious vinaigrette…
Clams are delicious with crusty bread to dip in the broth.
After being seated and ordering drinks I realized that the only vegan option contained an ingredient that I am extremely allergic to. I assured my friend that I was fine staying even if all I could eat was fries.
When our server checked in to see if we had any questions I explained my dilemma and asked if she could recommend anything. She asked me to give her a minute so she could check with the kitchen. The chef was able to offer several options to accommodate my needs which was extremely kind.
My menu consisted of Celeriac Soup, Cauliflower & Smoked Farro with Drunken Currants, Roasted Carrots, and Pommes Frites with Truffle Salt. My friend had a Persimmon Brie Tart, and a Slider Trio which included a Veggie, Duck Confit, and Raclette filled Patty. We both thought our food was delicious.
When you combine the ambience, presentation, and flavor profiles, along with the attentive, friendly staff, Clink! is a shining star in the Salem dining scene. The fact that the menu changes makes it even more enticing to go back.
