Edit. I put this review up 10 minutes ago and the owner of Clevelands already called me to make this right. Now thats customer service!! He offered to remake our order or leave a gift certificate (equal to my purchase) at the register for me for my next visit. We chose the gift certificate. We’ll be back this weekend. I just ordered 4 paninis from here. I’ve eaten at the Plymouth location and enjoy it very much. My first time ordering from the Torrington location.
I got the Hot Italian. It’s good but the oil on the sandwich made the bottom bread sooooo soggy that I can’t even eat that piece of bread. I got an Italian Melt for my lunch tomorrow but it also has the oil on it so I’ll have to figure something out there. I’m disappointed today.

We just went there for the first time to try the Chicken cutlet on roll. It was one of, if not, The best we have had in a very long time! Perfectly cooked and stacked high! We’re from Westchester NY with no shortage of excellent deli’s and I would put this in the same category. Friendly staff. We will definitely be back to try other items.

They are a great sandwich shop. They are doing a great job and holding up to there sandwiches and soups are really good. I tried there homemade eggplant. It was good n I don’t really eat just anyone’s eggplant. Great job guys. Keep up the good work you will be around for a long time.

The day they opened I made sure to stop by and was impressed with the appearance and atmosphere of the store right away. The staff is very friendly and pay attention to detail. Since opening I have been there at minimum 1st a week and never disappointed by anything. My dog also loves the nice dog treat they sell. Definitely a 5

Soggy Pancake
Not too happy with this place recently. Placed an order on Saturday at around 8. Started off my order by asking if I could have the smash burger that was on special..instead of simply just saying sorry we are all sold out I was met with “no you can’t because we are all out”…I find it very hard to believe a place that openly advertises various menu items that consist of ground beef to be without any. I opted for the Italian combo light mayo, very clearly specified and emphasized on the light aspect…got home to it layered on both sides of bread seeping off the bread. The lady at the counter…very unpleasant. No smile, no true interaction…very stale and not welcoming at all. I’ve worked and been a manager in food service before..the “sold out” excuse an hour before close is because they wanna leave right at 9. They already cleaned the grill and didn’t want to accommodate. Ice cream was already put away etc. so if I want a milk shake am I gonna be told the machine is broken like I’m at McDonald’s? Might be time for new management to fix some of these issues.

I was disheartened when Carbone’s closed after so many years, but Cleveland’s quickly became a reliable new favorite and my go-to. Their breakfast sandwiches are hands-down the best in town, and everything else—from the Barn Burner to their reasonably priced, delicious desserts—never disappoints. When I need a smile and great food, this is where I go. Huge thanks to George, who works magic in the kitchen, and to the rest of the team for always delivering excellence!

Cleveland’s is a great sandwich shop, with the best customer service, and delicious ice cream too!! They also have the best French fries and onion rings.
I love the cooler they have full of meals to take home and heat up like egg plant parm. It’s delicious.

This little shop is in a very convenient spot for me where I live, and seeing as all the products that they sell are local I feel confident shopping here! The staff are very friendly and the food is very good!
