Clemmy’s is incredible. The menu is constantly changing and I find a new favorite every time I come in.
We had dinner on Valentine’s Day and it was the best meal I have had in recent memory. Everything was absolutely excellent.
The staff is amazing. The space is very cozy.

What a great first experience! We got there right after they opened and it was already starting to fill up. They don’t take reservations so expect to wait. From start to finish everything was amazing! The server was super friendly and attentive. I recommend the ricotta sourdough toast (so tasty!!), the ricotta dumplings were different but delicious, my mushroom risotto was well balanced and I ended my meal with the vanilla budino – SO GOOD! I also got to try the pork dish and the orange cake. They were also very delicious! Compliments to the chef! I can’t wait to go back and try more things. FYI – Their menu changes on a regular basis since it’s farm to table and super fresh and it’s BYOB. Highly recommended!

All I can say is wow. Phenomenal food. Our waitress Liz was so nice and gave great recommendations. Go early it gets packed quick but worth the wait.

Clemmys is hands down our favorite local restaurant. We go every chance we get, and it’s the one place we consistently crave.
The menu is small and changes constantly based on what’s fresh, local, and available, which makes every visit feel special. Every single dish is packed with flavor in a way that surprises you — the kind of food that makes you stop after the first bite because you know you could never recreate it at home. And the Caesar salad… I genuinely dream about it.
The atmosphere is just as perfect. It’s a small, cozy space with candlelight, fresh flowers, and music that’s always interesting and new. Nothing fancy or pretentious… just thoughtful and inviting.
They don’t take reservations, so sometimes you have to wait or hope for a couple seats at the bar, but it’s always worth it. It’s BYOB, which makes it even more fun.
We’ve gone so often that we’ve become friends, and you start to recognize the other regulars too. It really feels like a small family of people who all share great taste and appreciate how special this place is.
This place is such a gem, and we’re so lucky to have it locally.

Finally made it here after hearing so many great reviews, we got there early but still had to wait outside for about 15 minutes, hostess kindly offered us water and a menu and kept us updated on our table status. We were seated and promptly serviced by our very friendly waitress who offered to open our wine bottle which we did not have since this is a BYOB establishment, went with a nice bottle of sparkling water instead. We shared a very delicious appetizer of heirloom tomatoes with burrata, both were very fresh and perfectly seasoned. For our main meals we had the Peruvian Chicken, the chicken was plump, juicy and delicately spiced with peppers and Latin seasonings, it was placed atop mashed golden potatoes that tasted good but for some reason reason were served cold. Our next dish was the Yellow Fin Tuna, served in a pepperoncini sauce with corn and succotash. The tuna was cooked to perfection, crispy skin on the outside and rare on the inside, masterfully done. Since the plates here tend to be on the smaller side, I would have loved to have some more of the tuna. We tried their signature orange cake with a vanilla gelato for dessert and it was simply amazing. Clemmy’s did not disappoint and we look forward to trying more of their eclectic specialties.

Food: very good and came out quickly but some entrees were overpriced (>$30 for bolognese)
Service: not the warmest experience I have ever had unfortunately. Not terrible, but expected more given the price point of the menu.
Ambiance: romantic and intimate, liked the decor and flowers/candles.
Overall had a nice experience here. I would be interested to come back to try the other menu items.

I’ve lived in Ocean County for 8 years. Moving from Fairfield
Ct where chefs like Bill Taibe do their work I was incredibly disappointed by the restaurant choices. Then I heard about Clemmy’s. We walked in and immediately knew the vibe was right. But, would the food match the vibe? I looked at the menu and saw the roasted chicken. It’s a ballsy move putting a roasted chicken on the menu, so we ordered it. As we waited chef Allen Walski was filling out one of his non-traditional gift cards and we start busting his chops. He laughs, we laugh. The food then comes and hot damn! Nailed it! He made the roasted chicken sexy! The carrots, the caeser, the sourdough, the bolognese! You want dessert? Budhino is heaven! My 8 year old comes with us and orders 3 pieces of chocolate cake. My daughter will eat the orange cake every day! If you want good food you have some options. If you want great food there’s 1 option and it’s Clemmy’s!!!

An absolute gem! This BYOB spot offers an intimate atmosphere and a small but perfectly curated menu. Every dish we tried was outstanding. For appetizers, the baby back ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, and the scallops were perfectly seared. For the main course, the braised short ribs were rich and flavorful, while the swordfish was cooked to perfection. The quality of the food and the warm, inviting ambiance make this a must-visit. Highly recommend!
