Nice place to stop whether you’re on a boat or not. We didn’t have any trouble finding a place to dock even though it was pretty busy. Everyone got margaritas and I got a virgin one since I’m on a sober kick. Surprisingly, it was still pretty good. Staff was nice, quick, and seemed to enjoy their jobs. Lots of seating all around. And, the water’s right there if you want to dip your toes in!

They had 2 taps blue moon and paddlers lemon ipa that was a tad disappointing…but they did have Psuedo Sue (my favorite) in a can. They also delivered a Corona in a can ( maybe glass bottle regulations on the beach) The food from restaurant was amazing..I had Carolina burger with fries. Our server Kaitlyn was attentive and professional.

The food was good, but it took over 45 minutes to get it. Memorial day weekend, so it wasn’t surprising. Lots of gnats and other bugs, but it’s May, so that was expected, as well. But at the end when we got our bill, there’s a section at the bottom that says the servers are financially responsible for every item they serve us. It seems like it’s geared toward those who are planning on dining and dashing, and I get that. But what about if you order and then are waiting and waiting (like we did) and maybe there’s an emergency or you simply have to be somewhere and you’ve run out of time? I found it tacky to advertise it like that, and the way it was worded made it seem like they don’t value their employees.

Stopped in for lunch while out on the boat.. called ahead knowing it might busy. Service was great, the food was excellent. Picky kids asked for seconds. Pizza was excellent and my dad can’t stop talking about the broasted chicken. Mom loved her haddock too! Thank you

I can’t believe the bad reviews. What’s with people? I guess small-towners getting away and expecting some reality show experience for a real-world price. This place is what it is, and that is great! Yeah, the service can suck, but their mostly college kids, and I never thought to come here and be in a hurry. I come here to chill. I’m glad the bartenders are not in a rush, because I’m not. Sitting in a Tiki hut on a windy day in Iowa drinking beer. How can you not love this!!! This is a place to come to leave worries behind and get in touch with a vibe that says slow down and enjoy things. There aren’t enough places in the world that enable you to really do that. Enjoy this great place for what it is, and kick back and have a few. All that is need is more parking and a bigger hut area so more people like me can enjoy this great space.

Was here for my son’s wedding. Really over all it’s a little over rated. Nice lake side property, makes for nice outside weddings. If you are wanting that quaint water front feel, it’s the right place to go. Have enjoyed sitting outside at the Tiki bar on many occasions.
What I don’t care for is the lack of caring by the management. Weddings are a big part of a person’s life a little more accommodations and helpfulness would be a big bonus. Felt like a lot of our questions were just blown off and it was almost like we were intruding rather than a paying customer. For what this place cost to rent and what little service they provided was appalling. As I stated earlier I have been here many many times, this was the first time as a paying customer renting the entire establishment. Was very disappointed in the lack of understanding and caring from the management did not feel at all like to give two Hoots. As I stated felt like we were intruding.

We had a group party of 50 people. Everything was planned ahead of time. We were supposed to have a taco bar buffet. We had already paid for the first round of drinks for everyone. When we arrived people started ordering drinks. They were told they could only have a margarita or corona beer, even though there was a cooler right next to the bar with other options and a full bar behind the counter. We offered to pay cash for different drinks off the tab (cash is your only option) we were told that was not possible?
After everyone grabbed a plate of food, there was plenty left over. We were told it was a buffet. There were no additional plates and we were struck down by the waitress and told that we could NOT have any more. What’s worse is that after following up with the manager afterwards, we discovered the reason why is because they were going to transfer the food back to the kitchen and reuse it for other orders. I wonder how long that food was sitting out and being used before our party arrived? Gross.
Lastly, the miscommunication (understatement) could have been sorted out. However, the disrespect we were shown throughout the entire night was astounding. A party spending nearly 1,000 dollars deserves a little courtesy, right? We were met with nothing but harsh comments and hostility. We were consistently met with demeaning comments for asking simple questions.
All I can say is, if you are looking at this place for an option, please reconsider. One would think after spending that kind of money, and being treated in that manner, there would be some sort of discourse about the situation and absolution to make things right. That did not happen. We were ignored, and offered the gratuity back. Pretty slim for a 1,000 dollar check.
PLEASE take your business somewhere else and save yourself the heartache and money you will inevitably waste at this “establishment”.
