Our first time, wow impressive! You get a lot for the price! We got half sandwich and soup, also came with homemade bagel chips, a drink and dessert. Bakery choices for sweets amazing! Would love to see some stuffed breads, like spinach, broccoli, etc.

This shop is so wonderful. It’s big and there’s such a huge selection of pastries and cakes and cupcakes, etc. great paninis and sandwiches, great lattes, local honey, dog treats, bagels, and more. It was very busy so be prepared for a wait, but it was worth it. My only recommendation would be to consider adding more vegetarian sandwich options. Would love to see a cold sourdough bread option with veggies on it and not just one option of cucumber sandwich, though it is very tasty. Our daughter is autistic and has never eaten a birthday cake before. She is very food selective and it’s turning 6 today, so we got her a few options and it was SO affordable. Like under $3 for a huge slice of cake. I’m hoping this year she’ll finally eat a bite!!

This place makes the best birthday cakes! I ordered this cake for my best friend and it tasted delicious. The bakers ate down while creating this. 10/10 would order here again for my birthday next time! It was also super cheap for this cake! Would recommend to other people

Waited and waited, never even had anyone acknowledge us. Worse service we have ever had here. When I said something to the owner all he did was make excuses for them. They weren’t even busy. The people in front of me got their order and the cashier just walked away and went to go talk with someone making some drink. Worse service ever. Several of us parents go and grab our kids a cookie after class but not anymore. Instead trying to rectify the problem and at least claiming ownership they decided to just make excuses. All my daughter wanted was a cookie. So instead of telling the person just standing around talking to help my daughter by getting her her cookie you make an excuse. The town of clayton definitely has better bakery like Burney’s. They definitely show the appreciation for peoples business and acknowledge them while they wait. We always came here out of convenience but with poor service I rather make the drive.

The employees are definitely ready. I’m very hopeful and cheerful. Even going out their way to see if they are able to provide me if a particular cake that they don’t have display. I would highly recommend if you’re in the area, so you don’t see these people

We had the bakery make my wife’s 75th birthday cake. They did a great job and it was ready right on time. Thanks to them all.

Need better sanitary practices. Ever time I go there is an issue. Several time the person getting my pastry does not put on gloves after touching money, their hair or having dirty nails. They just use a parchment sheet that is contaminated with their germs and leave it in the box of food.
I went yesterday due to the storm after a long absense and I thought it had improved since I saw the young girl with a glove on one hand. When she took my order she used the ungloved hand to get the food and the gloved hand to open and close the case sliding doors. The she turned around and put the cookies on the clear dirty counter behind the case instead of directly in a box. She got an attitude when I asked her to wash her hands (she rubbed her face while I was deciding), glove both hands and put my food in boxes instead of the counter.
Why does the customer have to remind the staff of sound sanitation practices? Every single time I go to this bakery I have to ask or remind the cashier of a common sense practice. It is unbelievable! The backend can be sanitary but the front end must practices ruin the safety of the food. Management needs to address this immediately because calling and telling them did nothing. Hopefully someone will see this and actually train the staff. Obviously people who go to local bakeries care about safety, sanitation, ingredients and potential contamination of their food. PLEASE FIX THIS!!!
