Food was delicious. We ordered 7 dishes. We loved all of it, except for the paella.. a little under seasoned. The rest was amazing . Natural oysters, Moroccon Claypot Barbarossa, clam soup, king prawn grilled in the shell, seafood paella, Turkish eggplant, and tabouli salad. Would love to come back again.

This restaurant on Hardware Lane was definitely a great choice of my friend. We had a great time here and we ordered a pitcher of Sangria to start. Then we all ordered our mains which I ate Paella my friends ordered pasta and swordfish. As a fish lover, I really enjoyed the wall of cartoon fish and random fish decorations. The waitress that helped us was really nice and gave us great recommendations for food. Upon leaving I had to use the restroom, though the backdoor was closed. So, the chef then ripped apart the tape from the door and went so I did the same. Honestly that was the best part of my dinner. But overall great place, and yummy food.

Cute little restaurant. Food is fresh and service is decent. They did forgot one of the dishes we ordered but once we inquired about it, it was rushed and on the table.

The staff, food and atmosphere were all very nice. We visited for lunch as 2, and tried the seafood pie and barramundi which we enjoyed.
The restaurants menu is pretty interesting, they have Moroccan touched as well as south east Asia (sambal) touches. There are different dishes that we would like to try next time.

Service was okay, had to wait and go inside to be served. Waited about 40 minutes for our fish tacos and they were the exact same as the ceviche we just had, just on a taco. Also had to wait about 10 minutes for our wine everytime. Vibes could be better.

Very nice seafood theme restaurant. They have tapas style dishes and the main as well. Fried school prawns was really nice, sambal stingray too. We ordered the Morrocan couscous seafood and it was delicious. Oh yes don’t forget their dessert too! **update: we like it so much that we back again the next day for lunch! Do not disappointed! Will be back again!

Excellent and fresh seafood in the middle of the CBD, with changing seasonal menus. Many of their dishes are unique and inventive, combining ingredients in interesting yet complementary ways. For the price, the portion size and quality were superb, and the staff were extremely friendly and delightful to talk to.

Absolutely incredible food and atmosphere!
I had the pleasure of dining at Claypots Barbarossa on Hardware Lane and was blown away by the quality and flavour of every dish. The fusion of Mediterranean with a hint of Asian cuisine was executed perfectly – light, fresh, and full of depth.
I tried a range of seafood dishes, and each one was beautifully presented and seasoned just right. The Seared Hervey Bay Scallop with sesame and lime was a lovely way to start, followed by the Stirfry Mussels with ginger and lemongrass – full of rich, aromatic flavour. The Seared Swordfish was tender and paired perfectly with pink peppercorn and crushed potatoes.
But the standout? The Sambal Stingray. Absolutely divine! It was bold, spicy, and so delicious I was honestly left wanting more.
To top it off, the desserts were just as impressive. The Crème Brûlée Citron had a perfect caramelised top and smooth, citrusy custard, while the Poached Pear with almond crumble and pear cream was light, elegant, and the perfect finish.
The atmosphere was cosy and relaxed, with great service and smile…. plus you literally can’t miss the place – you’ll smell the amazing food from down the street.
If you’re in Melbourne CBD, do yourself a favour and stop by. Highly recommend!
