After leaving Chuck E. Cheese with the family, we decided to grab a bite to eat, and we randomly stopped at this place because we heard they had excellent Philly cheesesteaks. Once inside, we were impressed by the clean atmosphere and the great menu options. Although we initially planned to order something different, my wife and I ended up with tuna subs, while we got our son a little pizza. We also shared some mozzarella sticks. The food was outstanding, with fantastic flavors. The pizza was especially amazing—truly top-notch. There was nothing to critique about the experience; the staff was fantastic, and we’re definitely planning to return to try more menu items. Despite being known for their Philly cheesesteaks, we were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed the simpler tuna subs. The food was served quickly, in generous portions, and I highly recommend checking this place out. Among all the pizzas I’ve had recently, this one stood out. I feel really fortunate that we decided to stop there at such a random moment, and I’m excited to go back and explore more of their menu in the future!

My first time getting food at this location. The lady greeted me nicely. I placed my order of 2 cheesesteaks and onion rings. I’m waiting. After about 5 minutes or more a wht guy comes in and places his order for a cheesesteak. I’m still waiting another 5 minutes or more. Then I hear the cook in the back calls the wht guy to pick up his cheesesteak. I went to the lady(a man was standing next to her behind the register)and asked her, how did he get his cheesesteak before me and I was here first. She said you got 2 cheesesteaks right and both of them just looked at the cooks. It doesn’t matter if I had one or two, I placed my order 5 minutes or more before the wht guy came in. Why am I still waiting for my cheesesteak to finish cooking and the wht guy who ordered after me )is gone with his food. Something isn’t right. I blame the cooks in the back. I will not be going back to this location. One and done. I should have gone to the steak shop in claymont. Better customer service. And the steak was dry, no flavor.

Claymont Steak House absolutely delivered. I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak, and it was nothing short of amazing—packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and everything you want a true cheesesteak to be.
On top of that, the customer service was top-notch. Friendly, welcoming, and fast, which made the experience even better.
This spot is definitely worth a visit, and I’ll 100% be going back. If you’re looking for great food and great service, Claymont Steak House is it.

I always order in person since I’m up & down Concord Pike so often, and they’ve never made any mistake.
Portion sizes are awesome here… I feel like I’m actually getting a meal for what I pay for.

Pizza is Very average. Crust is doughy and cardboard like at the same time. Lots of cheese and little sauce. Very salty. Meh. Get a sandwich instead.

This was our family’s first time ordering from this location. The last few reviews are worrisome, so I thought it important to share my experience. We ordered pickup. The person on the phone taking my order was polite and repeated my order back for accuracy. The order was ready within 20 minutes and was a $60-$70 order. The food was delicious. The chicken cheesesteak was my personal favorite also the wings. I’m not a big cheesesteak kind of gal because I’m extremely picky with the type of steak used , this didn’t disappoint.

What happened to Claymont steak shop? Ordered a special everything sweet. The roll was 2” thick end had no filling. One piece of tomato and one pickle and one slice of each meat and cheese on each half of the roll. If I just wanted a roll, I would have just ordered a roll. Last time I order from Claymont There are too many other places to spend my money that actually is worth the price. It’s a shame. Used to be the best place around. The pizza we ordered was half cooked – ham was burnt. – on a pizza.!!! We are done. Do better Claymont!!!!
