I have come here twice now. I Have been working in Algonac since August 26th (almost 6 months) so I Figured that it was time to try some of the local restaurants , cuz I Am always looking to support a small business rather then a fast food chain.
the 1st time I Came, I Gotten the scrambled eggs wit cheese , french toast wit berries and Belgian waffle. they were super good. my waitress was extremally kind.
the 2nd time I Went (to-day) the french toast wit berries was still very good , and the eggs too exept for the fact that they put American cheese on them this time rather then cheddar. I Can chalk that up to my mistake tho , as I Did not specify what cheese. no big deal tho!! waitress was pretty nice. I Plan on returning 🙂

The place is definitely underrated. Easy to find location, friendly and quick service, perfect spread of food items in the menu and very reasonable in price. Overall had an amazing brunch experience!

Clean, fast excellent food.
From the time I entered the door, sat down and ordered I had my food in 10 mins. Eggs, perfectly done. Bacon is exactly how I ordered it. Very generous helping hash browns. Rye toast!!

I ordered take out this morning got the starving Marvin. Asked for yoke egg, 2 eggs were fried with no yoke, one egg was still raw on the inside. I had to throw it away. Pancakes had no flavor. Please get a new cook bc the food is usually amazing here….really upset. The waiters were wonderful the cook was awful

Best omelettes and breakfast in the area; and Ive been to all the local breakfast places, and its no contest in comparison. There is no turnaround in staff, which says something about the way this guy treats his people. Service and quality of food is A#1!!

What a wonderful addition to Clay Twp! The Clay Cafe is an inviting atmosphere with delicious homemade breakfast and lunch options to satisfy any taste buds. My Son loves their Mickey Mouse pancakes. Coffee is freshly ground. I had the stuffed French toast this time. The fruit was fresh and the sweet cream in the center really adds to this tasty dish. You can’t go wrong with the omlets, pancakes and thick cut bacon that is not deep fried. I haven’t tried lunch yet, but this is surely a great place to go and the prices are very reasonable. We will be back.

Been in a many times. Food is always great, the place is comfortable and affordable. Most of the waitstaff is friendly and great. The past couple times I’ve had Jess. She seemed rushed, unfriendly and complained about any and everything to her tables instead of taking care of them. As a guest and not a friend, I don’t care to have my breakfast ruined by listening to the server complain about her life. Frankly, it made me uncomfortable the last time I was in and I haven’t been back just incase she’s working. Sad because one person has ruin an experience.
