Hey there , I’m Ray and I have an opinion ☝ ! The food here was really enjoyable. Endearing up spending my pre-birthday dinner here and it was a great choice. Not only was the food good but the atmosphere was a buzz. Sure people were to themselves, it’s Baltimore, but everyone was in good spirits, conversing and having a good time. Service was good too, for the most part. I’d go again and would recommend.

This was my second visit kind of a “let’s see if you redeem yourself” situation. The first time didn’t wow me, but I’m glad I came back. The tamarindo michelada understood the assignment and were really good.
The tamales were a mixed bag: the barbacoa was a little dry and won’t be getting a third date, but the cochinita? Absolutely showed up and showed out. The real star of the night was the brochetas de carne so good I briefly forgot about everything else. Paired with the queso and those warm tortillas? Chef’s kiss.
Overall, redemption achieved!!!

Customer service is lacking…the reviews are cooked.
Coming in there was a 1:30 min wait to sit down, we expected this based on the reviews on how good the food is. We sat at the bar and it took 10mins before they came to address me.
The waiter did not check on us after the food came. We had to flag him down to ask for an additional item. He did greet the regulars that were seated next to us and check in on them consistently. For a first time customer, I won’t be returning.
The food and drinks were good; however, I can find other places with the same quality food and better service that is more consistent. The atmosphere would be a 5 if not for the service.
Beautiful space..bummer
Edit: After receiving the bill I see the service charge is included. That explains the terrible bar service.

Really attentive servers. Margaritas were definitely made from real lime compared to crappy bars. The tamale was AMAZING, I got the chicken. A little kick but WORTH IT.

Waiter did a great job with recommendations. Still thinking about the mock tail he recommended for me. I don’t remember its name but it had bell peppers. Vegetarian options are ok, the meat dishes just looked better

The food is flavorful, it tasted amazing! The place is so well decorated that it makes you feel like you’re in the desert in a good way! Everything was just right! Must try for sure in Baltimore! The chicken mole taco was one of my favorites!
I had no complaints it’s a great place all & all. Book ahead a very popular place.

The staff is very polite, attentive and were happy to answer questions about meal and their large beverage menu! The food was so good! The tacos and fish were tasty! I would definitely visit again!

A longtime favorite that never disappoints. Even when there’s a wait, it’s always worth it. The shrimp flautas and new mezcal options are amazing additions. I personally recommend the queso fundido w chorizo, cochinita and gobernador tacos. Friendly service, great food, and unbeatable vibes every single time. Thank you Clavel!

For Baltimore, vibes were GREAT – it was packed and LOUD! I would not recommend for families with kids or elderly as the noise can get a little loud, if you’re young that should not be a problem at all.
Decor was beautiful and what you’d love to see in a Mexican restaurant!
Service was great too!
I’d highly recommend their watermelon mezcal cocktail, that was sooo good!
Food was okay. Maybe it’s good for Baltimore’s standard since it was crowded with a line. But coming from out of town, I’d go only for drinks, dessert (flan) and vibes

Met up with some friends for dinner on a Friday night and it was PACKED. We waited about 45 minutes and were seated outside on the covered deck area. Really nice outdoor seating. Service was pretty quick, but was forgotten a few times (it was really busy though, so I get it). Menu was a little difficult for people at the table who didn’t know Spanish, but the food was great! The shrimp tacos were the best!
