Thank you Claudio’s for making our Thanksgiving night so special.
I ordered shrimp and grits, while my mom ordered a classic lobster roll. The grits were creamy and rich, although the portion of shrimp were meager. However, the seasoning on the dish compensated for it and I enjoyed the fresh combination of flavors, with the crunch of the tortilla chips adding a nice texture. The presentation of the dish was well done, with fresh herbs sprinkled on top of the food in a small cast iron pan.
The lobster roll was, as you would expect, delicious! With meat that was tender and sweet, and a roll buttered and toasted to perfection. We just found ourselves wishing there was more lobster to enjoy!
While the meal was pricey, the combination of delicious food, beautiful surroundings, and a relaxed atmosphere make it the great spot for a casual yet upscale dining experience. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.
The first waitress I think named Brittany was polite and apologized about the cold soup. It was, however delicious. It was a total B squad shift that really needs to be taught customer service 101 however I don’t think it can be saved. I blame the management for such horrible service.
The bathrooms were filthy and looked like a grenade went off in the stalls. Just an awful experience overall. We couldn’t wait to leave. And it seems like they really know what’s going on and how bad it really is -but expect people to put up with it. At least we saved a family of six from going in who were grateful they saw us leave with utter disgust in our voices as we were talking about the rotten experience.
What really stood out was the horrible management. Instead of stepping in to improve the situation, management seemed disengaged and dismissive.
A restaurant in such a beautiful location should deliver hospitality, but unfortunately, Claudio’s fell far short.
I would never recommend this place -if you’re looking for good service or professional management this is not the place.
