My husband and I closed out 2025 with an intimate evening at Claudine. An outstanding experience – chic atmosphere, impeccable service, lovely presentation, all anchored by a delicious, decadent tasting menu. How wonderful that Chefs Maggie McConnell and Josh Finger have brought their talents to Providence. Claudine is a jewel!

Standouts from our meal included the Imperial Osetra Caviar (Florida red shrimp, Marsh Hen Mill, polenta, preserved winter truffle) and the Miyazaki A5 Wagyu (brussels sprout, Hakurei turnip, whole grain mustard, sauce Foyot.)

What we appreciated most, however, was the thoughtful, non-alcoholic pairing. We selected this when we made our reservation. So often NA options are limited or even dismissed in fine dining, but not at Claudine. Every pairing was well crafted and explained with the enthusiasm of a seasoned sommelier. Other restaurants take notes!

Our final course of Gingerbread Glace (cranberry, brown sugar, Buddha’s hand) came with a tiny gingerbread man perched atop dessert. When I wanted to take the cookie as a souvenir, our server found an empty finishing salt tin to keep Mr. Gingerbread safe in my purse. It was a cute touch, reflective of the care Claudine puts into every bite.

We’ll certainly return.

P.S. I’m reminded to mention that my husband won his Fantasy Football Championship while we were at dinner, so it’s a lucky spot 😉

I took my wife to Claudine to celebrate her birthday. A personalized birthday card was left on the table for her, they gave us treats on the house after dessert for the occasion. The staff was very attentive. The food was amazing , we really appreciated the conceptualization and attention to detail. It was a great culinary experience.

This was an incredible experience. From the moment you walk in though the entire tasting menu you are guided along a journey of culinary excellence. There are some supplements to the menu and they are all worth it, the caviar and lobster was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. I highly recommend the wine pairing as they are thoughtfully picked to compliment every dish. This is a special place and Providence is lucky to finally have a true fine dining restaurant.

Sensational. I’ve looked forward to trying Claudine since the day it opened and it blew every expectation out of the water. The menu reflects creativity, playfulness, and technical excellence on the parts of Chefs Maggie McConnell and Josh Finger. The wine pairing was original and thoughtfully curated – a delightful companion to the meal. We opted for all the extras – don’t think twice, just jump for them! While it’s hard to pick favorites, the wagyu beef and caviar with pistachio ice cream were standout favorites—I’ve thought of them daily since. Every moment of the experience was considered, from the beautiful ceramic-ware (oysters!) to the eclipse lamps and Klimt-like ceiling. We could’ve stayed all night! Thank you for bringing this treasure to Providence. We can’t wait to come back!

Claudine is the new gold standard for fine dining experiences.

Maggie and Josh were clearly meticulous in creating this restaurant. And that can be seen, first and foremost, in the dishes, which were all innovative, balanced, and perfectly executed. My favorites were the oyster with sea urchin, beet salad, and caviar with raw scallop supplement as well as both desserts.

But their level of thoughtfulness also extends to the atmosphere they’ve created (chic but inviting) and in the service (knowledgeable, friendly, and without pretension). I highly recommend the wine pairing. The sommelier described each pairing with such mastery and enthusiasm; it was as exciting listening to him as it was drinking the wine.

I look forward to getting back to Claudine as soon as possible!

There are no other words than wow. From the moment I sat down, every detail of the evening felt intentional and flawless. Each plate that was served not only looked like a work of art but delivered layers of flavor that left me wanting more. The wine pairings felt like a natural extension of the dish, enhancing and deepening the experience with every sip.

The service was warm, attentive, and perfectly paced, allowing me to fully enjoy each course without ever feeling rushed. The atmosphere struck a balance between refined and inviting, creating the kind of setting where you can completely immerse yourself in the food and the moment.

Though I am only visiting Providence, this dining experience has left such a lasting impression that it makes me want to return again, just to relive it. Truly impeccable from start to finish.

Go. Just go. It’s a deal for $165 for the base menu and the whole space is worth it for that price. Knowledgeable servers, meaningful plates and perfect glasses.

Celebrated my 2.5 year anniversary here with my girlfriend and the Claudine team made it special and so memorable with gestures such as complementary bubbles, great conversation and an aperitif to end the meal, including accommodating an allergy so easily.

This is what PVD needs in our culinary revolution, and I hope Josh & Maggie (the head chefs/owners who have Michelin resumes) are here to stay.

Spectacular, creative, polished yet so warm and friendly—a total wow. Still dreaming of the Kanpachi and beef dishes. Recommend the wine pairing. Also the pistachio ice cream + caviar is a stunner—worth springing for. Michelin sleeping on the job here, where’s the star?

I visited Claudine for the first time recently. I rarely leave reviews, but this establishment is different.

First off, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. You can see everything going on in the kitchen, and the service staff knows the 8 course menu (which changes!) like the back of their hand.

During my visit while all of the dishes were amazing, what stood out was the fresh ingredients and the absolute care that went into to every dish. I personally loved the lobster wrapped sea bass, but you can’t go wrong.

One of the best meals I’ve ever experienced. Will be back.

Claudine is an extraordinary dining experience. The 8+ course tasting menu ($165) is thoughtful, beautifully executed, and celebrates New England ingredients with French finesse. We visited The French Laundry earlier this year, and each dish at Claudine could have easily passed for one there—refined, balanced, and deeply satisfying. Highlights included the Maine bluefin tuna, Atlantic halibut, and the unforgettable Miyazaki A5 Wagyu, with desserts like the peach melba and brown butter crêpe cake to end the night perfectly. The space is intimate and welcoming, the service attentive without being pretentious, and every detail feels intentional. We’re huge foodies who enjoy Michelin-level dining, and this was truly one of the best restaurants we’ve ever been to—worthy of a star, worth every penny, and perfect for a special occasion.
