We just started our vacation from the Chicagoland area driving 5 hours to make it here for lunch. Our server, Shawntae, was fantastic! We had the salad buffet that included soup and bread pudding for an extra $3.99. We were so stuffed that we could barely eat our entree! We ended up taking a lot of food to go. We’re expecting the hotel to have a microwave lol! The food is excellent along with the pricing.

Home cooking just like my grandmother made. Sunday buffet had something for everyone. The fish was my favorite, but the fried chicken was a close second. The prime rib was a bit tough and there were only 2 choices for salad dressing. The fresh rolls were so good! There was also chicken pot pie and beef stew on the buffet but I didn’t try it. They offer Pepsi products and ice tea, as well as coffee. The bread pudding was divine! Even though everything was delicious and clean, I probably won’t come back very often. It was way overpriced at $26.99/person. I might consider coming on a weekday (not Monday as they are closed)

First time visiting and I love the atmosphere, the food was delicious and the service was superb. The staff was very attentive refilling drinks and checking in on us. Such a welcoming ambiance and so clean. The bathroom was clean, updated and no mold seen or smelled. Loved the Christmas decorations and the price is not bad for their buffet.

I have travelled a whole lot further for a whole lot less! I had the good fortune of arriving on ine of their Buffet Nights … WOW!… Prime Rib….fish to die for … delicious chicken. Just $26 gets you the Buffet with Salad Bar and Dessert. Absolutely fantastic food and service. Take that Cracker Barrel!

We had a large group, and were well cared for by the wait staff. Of course, the home cooked food was fantastic! So many choices, all my old favorites and perfectly prepared. Comfortable dining. Good prices.

My son took me there for Thanksgiving. My first time going. Lovely buffet with so many options and the price was very reasonable. You couldn’t come close buying just a small portion of what was offered, plus no prep, cooking, clean up, or trying to find something to do with all of the leftovers.

Nothing really special about this place, other than the size of it & the cute architecture.

The food was okay, definitely not worth the price.

The bread pudding was decent but not over the top.

The environment was fine, typical buffet/country dining type thing.

Staff was very friendly & helpful so that was nice.

Overall the main reason I wouldn’t come back is because the food isn’t worth the cost. The quality just isn’t there. Honestly I think the fried chicken at KFC is probably better & I know KFC Mac n cheese is better.

The food was absolutely freaking delicious. I was not expecting the amount of flavor from the rainbow trout which at a place like cracker barrel is just plain and boring at this restaurant. It was so flavorful. I literally ate two fillets of rainbow trout in like 1 minute like I was eating candy. The service was phenomenal. The people were nice and the sides were delicious as well. I was definitely not expecting such high quality. I was expecting more along the lines of cracker barrel or something. Definitely just mind-blowing.

We did the Thanksgiving buffet. Food was plentiful and there was many things to try. Fried chicken was delicious and no it wasn’t the colonel’s famous recie, roast beef depended on what slice you got on the roast, mac-n-cheese was good ,fried cabbage was delicious. Didn’t try everything. The buffet desserts weren’t all that special.

VERY VERY Bad experience!!! We ordered 5 wings were served cold, the manager(a lady) tried to charge us extra, and even handed them back to us in a to-go box ????

We ordered 5 wings, and the wing tips came out cold. We politely asked for a replacement, and the server handled it well. However, the manager told us we would be charged for an extra order because we “tested” one wing.

This was a quality issue with the food, not something the customer should be penalized for. Charging guests extra in this situation felt unprofessional and left a negative impression on our visit.

The server was good, but the management’s handling of the situation really affected our overall experience. Hope the restaurant can improve in this area.
