New to the area, we like to eat local instead of fast food chains. They had great portions, especially the pork tenderloin sandwich. Husband got the double cheeseburger And crinkled fries $9.99 said it was delicious. Was so satisfied he didn’t need a double, would definitely order a single cheeseburger next time, I got the pork tenderloin sandwich and tater tots $14, you definitely take the other half home. That’s why they have a half sandwich for $12 ,It was a ground pork tenderloin, a lot of breading pork patty pretty thin and the bun was a little small. It had good flavor. Personally wouldn’t order it again. The waitress was friendly and pleasant. We will be back again!!

I can honestly say that my visit today at this location was fantastic. The young lady working the front went above and beyond with her customer service skills. It goes too often that people forget how to have a wonderful customer service interactions, but not today and not in this establishment. My partner had what we would call a silly question about if they would be willing to sell a Pepsi glass they use for their beverages to which she went out of her way to get an answer for us ie. She first asked her kitchen manager, and they said just get an approval from the store manager and it would be fine. She came back and let us know each time for the update on our inquiry. P.S. they are $5 for those that would like to know. Yeah it was a silly request and everything from us but she made it happen. Thank you young lady as I don’t remember your name but you were there today on 06-08-2026 at around 2pm. The wonderful service never stopped from the start to the end of our visit and while it was a silly little request you made our day just by going above and beyond for your customers. Little things in life don’t go unnoticed and I hope the right people see this and you get recognized for it because this world needs more wonderful people like you with such an amazing personality and service skills. Food was also fantastic, so a thank you for the amazing food. Also thanks to the two management people that helped in giving us an answer for our requests.

We had heard about this place in a Facebook group. My husband had the breaded tenderloin sandwich and it did not disappoint. It was huge! I had a double cheeseburger and it was sooo good. We also had the onion rings and hand cut fries. Honestly, they were some of the best fries that I have had. Great portion sizes for a great price. We both took half of our sandwich home. Our server, Aiden was great. He was attentive, helpful, and very personable. Will definitely visit again.

The Classic Grill: A Blast from the Past in Missouri

My wife Kimberly and I were visiting family in Sedalia and Cole Camp. We have had our fill of the same old fast food chains and generic restaurants. We needed something different. Something real.

We wanted a place like Cole Camp itself. A place where people still knew each other by name. A place where life was simple and slow.

There was a restaurant that stood out from all the others. It was covered with blue lights that gave it a retro vibe. It looked like a place that had a story to tell.

We decided to give it a try.

We were immediately greeted by a friendly waitress who led us to a table. She handed each of us a menu and asked what we wanted to drink. We placed our order and looked at the menu.

It was full of home-town food, the kind that your mom or grandma used to make. Here’s a list of some of those items:

• Pork tenderloin sandwich
• Meatloaf
• Onion rings
• Fried fish
• And much, much more

Everything was made from scratch and cooked to order. The portions were generous and the prices were unbelievably reasonable.

I asked the waitress what she recommended. She said that the pork tenderloin sandwich was their specialty, and that it arrived almost as big as the plate on which it sat. She said that it came with hand cut fries and coleslaw, and that it was simply the best sandwich that we’d ever eat.

I was hungry and adventurous, and so I decided that I’d give it a go.

She smiled and took my order.

A few minutes later, she brought me my sandwich. It was huge. The pork was tender and juicy, coated with a crispy batter. The bun was soft and buttery. The fries were hot and crispy. The coleslaw was creamy and crunchy.

It looked amazing.

I took a bite and felt a surge of flavor. It was delicious. It tasted like home, but better. It tasted like comfort, but not boring. It tasted like nostalgia, but not old-fashioned.

It was one of the best sandwiches I’d ever had.

I ate until I was stuffed. I couldn’t finish it all, but I gave it my best shot.

The waitress came back and asked me how I liked it. I told her that it was fantastic and thanked her for the suggestion.

She said that she was glad that I enjoyed it, and that she hoped that we would come back again someday.

She went on to tell me that the Classic Grill had been around for many years, and that it was a locally owned family business. She said that they used local ingredients and recipes that had been passed down from family member to family member.

She said that they were proud of their food and their history, and that they wanted to share it with everyone who came to their diner. They had many loyal customers who came from near and far, and that they always welcomed new ones. Classic Grill was more than just a diner; it was a community.

I asked for the bill and paid for my food. She gave me a receipt and wished me a good day.

I got up from my table and walked out of the diner. I felt happy and satisfied. I had found something different in Cole Camp after all.

Something real.

If you’re ever anywhere near Cole Camp Missouri, do yourself a favor and stop by the Classic Grill. You’ll be glad you did.
