It’s a little pricey but the food, service, and atmosphere are all on point. They always have a great oyster selection (wouldn’t mind more northwestern ones)! The cocktails are great. The happy hour is good (half priced martinis are great! $0.50 off oysters is a little disappointing). I can’t believe I’m saying this as they’re a seafood restaurant, but they might have my favorite burger in the city (half off during happy hour). Thick and juicy and delicious. Also, the lobster roll is EXCELLENT and priced similarly to what you might get from a food truck but higher quality.

We came here for a birthday dinner. I called ahead for a reservation and had to hold for a few minutes, but the person taking my reservation was friendly and helpful.

I think they have valet parking but we didn’t see them. We dined inside on a weeknight.

We started with a mimosa and a glass of Champagne. They have an impressive list of custom cocktails and some nice wines. We asked them to dilute the mimosa with more OJ and they brought us a fresh one; the Perrier Jouet Champagne by the glass was excellent and I thoughtit quite reasonable at $28 / glass. The first course were some East Coast oysters, and a salad. The food was excellent – the oysters were fresh and they identified each one and its region; the salad was very good although the large butter lettuce pieces required a bit of cutting and chopping down. We then had the fettuccine and clams, Halibut grilled, cauliflower, and grits. All of the main items were very good, fresh, flavorful and spot on. The fettuccine and clams dish was requested to be made not spicy, and they accommodated us gladly – very eager to please. The service from Lorenzo was excellent even though he had 5 tables, and it was nice to see that the servers worked as a team. We were too full for dessert but their selections sounded divine. Total with tax and drinks was $194. It was very nice… we will return. I gave the atmosphere 1 less star because on the tables with white tablecloths they put butcher paper on top… I find that tacky.

We were greeted with warm sourdough bread and fresh butter once seated — a great start. We ordered the redfish ceviche, which was absolutely delicious, though for the price I would have expected homemade tortilla chips instead of saltines. I also had a bowl of New England clam chowder, hearty and full of clams and potatoes. For my main, the Cobb salad was outstanding: bold flavors, heavy on the blue cheese, and topped with incredible homemade bacon. OH MY.

My wife had the tuna salad sandwich on fresh sourdough, which she loved. The bread was fantastic, but the shoestring fries were a miss — more like over-fried potato toothpicks than fries. My daughter ordered the redfish on the half shell with a spinach salad and couldn’t stop talking about the glaze on the fish.

What really stood out was our waitress. She more than made up for the fries and crackers with her warm service — attentive to every need and clearly knew the menu like the back of her hand.

Overall, Clark’s serves up fresh, high-quality seafood and memorable dishes, with just a couple of small tweaks that could take it from very good to truly exceptional.

Clark’s Oyster Bar was incredible! Their variety of oysters was absolutely delicious — we tried one of each and loved them all. The tuna carpaccio and octopus were both top-notch, perfectly prepared, and full of flavor. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was classy yet relaxed. We’ll definitely be coming back soon! Plus, they offer valet parking, which makes the whole experience even more convenient. Highly recommend!

Service 10/10 EMILY WAS AWESOME!

One of the best tasting seafood restaurants that have been to! Everything that we ordered was amazing. Super great service and I enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant, even including their complimentary valet. The bread and butter that came to our table was great! The drink that we ordered was pretty good as well. The octopus was very flavorful and had a good spice to it. The eggplant was amazing, had a great texture, although it was a bit salty and oily at times. The lobster roll was delicious and even their fries were something I really enjoyed. I highly recommend it would come back. The cake that we ordered was also very delicious.

Good seafood place with a variety of oysters available from West coast, east coast, and the gulf. Cocktails were tasty. All the food was just fine, but the basque cake was our least favorite. Service was friendly and fast. Free valet parking is available and tipping is encouraged.

Valentine’s Day 2026. We cannot express enough the love we have for Clark’s OB. We have visited many times in the past. Susan, the most elegant and creative person at the front door is just amazing. Smiles, hugs, and catered drawings!! Our waiter was Sophie: amazing energy, knowledgeable and friendly as bee on a flower. The aesthetic is charming elegant and contemporary. The food, dude, is fantastic. And always on point!! I cannot recommend Clark’s enough. Pop in. Have a dink. And enjoy the food and community. All of this comes in a former gas station turned elegance!! Truly a great space. Bon Ton!

Clark’s Oyster Bar is such a beautiful spot, the aesthetic is effortlessly breezy and coastal, with a polished, seaside charm that makes you feel like you’ve escaped Houston for a little while. The vibe is relaxed but still upscale, perfect for a date night or a celebratory dinner.

The food absolutely delivers. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, and you can tell they take pride in their seafood selections. The shrimp toast is phenomenal; rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The king crab Louie salad is just as impressive, with generous portions of sweet crab and bright, vibrant flavors.

They also have a thoughtfully curated selection of wines and inventive cocktails that pair beautifully with the menu. Overall, it’s a wonderful dining experience with great energy, excellent service, and a coastal atmosphere that feels both refined and inviting. Definitely a place worth returning to.
