We have been to the travel plaza at least 6 times. We prefer to eat a Fatburger. Every time is a different experience (not a good one) We attempted to eat here last week. The parking lot was packed. We walked in and past people who were visibly upset. We walked into one employee trying to wait on 20 people. The restaurant was dirty, floors,tables and garbage overflowing. We left, as did other patrons.
Today we tried it again. We were surprised to see at least 4 employees. Although too busy socializing to pay attention. We were waited on (eventually) , food served promptly. Sadly the building was a mess. Water soaked floor andb floor mats as you enter. Garbage overflowing, trash on dirty tables. The trays that they serve food on stacked on counters. I actually started pushing in chairs and cleaning up garbage. With no where to put it, I stopped. There were people trying ro buy things and no one to wait on them. If someone was willing to take pride in the place they work it could make a world of difference. The possibilities are endless if there was someone to make the employees accountable. Its sad to see the building that you know cost a fortune to come to fruition not be respected and cared for. I can’t say if we will be back. But would hope that it improves.

Work in progress. Service based businesses that pay hourly struggle to find adequate workforce. This area has needed a place like this for the past 25 years as there are not many easily accessible food & fuel options off Interstate 80 in this area. I’m sure it will improve by the summer.

I finally stopped here, wanting some mall nostalgia. Nobody behind the counter seemed very friendly or wanted to be there. I wanted a piece of pizza. I looked over the sections, nothing to exciting unfortunately (this also around lunch time) and made my choice. I got one slice and asked for it to be sliced in half. The girl ringing me up did this, but she tried to charge me for 2 pieces. Then they warmed the pizza up in their little oven. I got back out to the truck, headed back to the interstate and went to eat my pizza. The pizza was cold as hell, and the worst part? The dough was RAW. So I spent almost $6 to pick off pizza toppings. Never again. Ever.

Let me start off by saying I am 40 years old and this is only the second bad review I’ve ever written in my life. This is by far the worst pizza I have ever eaten. It is unacceptable. It is soggy. It’s barely cooked. It took me 30 minutes to get my pizza while I was standing there And it does not taste anything like Sbarro pizza. You literally need a spoon to eat it. I’ll take it on the chin this time you got me for 20 bucks I would rather go get a rotisserie pizza at a gas station.

Wanted to have a slice of pizza was staying at the nearby hotel. They close at 9pm so my hubby and I made sure to get there by 8pm. Went to order the pizza at 8:10 and the employee said he couldn’t bake it. He shuts the pizza off early so he can be done by 9pm. We got some food at the burger place instead that stayed open to cook. Very disappointing.
