My wife and I had supper at Clancey’s this past Saturday. They had a good crowd but it wasn’t packed so we got a table right at the window by their deck right away. The view would be pretty nice during the day and without a ton of snow on the deck but that’s what to expect in the winter. The bar was not far from us and was pretty crowded/loud. The server was very nice and took our order – we started with the calamari appetizer, my wife had a cup of clam chowder and a broiled scallops dish and I had a lobster roll with French fries. Neither one of us thought the chowder was that good – had a strange taste to it that neither one of us could identify – it wasn’t bad, just not great. The calamari was good and while the bowl it came served in was large, probably half of the order contained peppers so it wasn’t as generous a portion as it looked. The calamari was pretty good – had a nice cornmeal crunch to it but I liked it a bit more than my wife did. The scallops were a generous portion and VERY tender – my wife really enjoyed them. The scallops came with a baked potato and veggies and my wife said the potato almost tasted like it was microwaved and not baked in an oven. My lobster roll was good as were the fries – nothing spectacular but not bad. For dessert we split an apple crisp (also pictured with this review). I thought it was too sweet, on the mushy side and I didn’t taste a lot of apple in it (I think the sweetness overrode the apple). The apple crisp came with a bit of vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. My wife did enjoy it and thought it was quite good.
Service was nice but on the slow side (we waited at least ten minutes for our supper plates to be cleared). The server was good about refilling our water glasses.
Overall not a bad place. We are new to the Cape (having moved here in December 2025) and are trying out local restaurants to see if we can find a “favorite.” Clancey’s is not bad but I doubt we would consider it a favorite. I’m rating it with four stars but if I could I’d probably give it 3.5 – I’ll round up because the server was very pleasant.

A must stop seafood restaurant that is very popular. Wonderful indoor and outdoor seating on the water where you will see paddle boats, wildlife, and beautiful winter berries growing in this marsh area.
Restaurant staff is great, and food is consistently delicious. No matter the years of visiting this area, Clancy’s has not changed! Great fish and chips, chowder, salads, sandwiches and more. Extensive cocktail and wine bar with a very friendly atmosphere. Arrive early since it’s always busy during the evening hours or get there before opening and stand in line to ensure you have a table.
A must stop for seafood lovers and a very relaxing place to spend a few hours contemplating all there is to see and do in this beautiful area.

Unbelievable dining choice. The view of the water is breathtaking. Best crock of French onion I ever had. The baked cod was great as well. Large menu, and lots of seating inside and out. Highly recommend

Our new favorite down here on the Cape.
The host was amazing . He checked us in fast and told us the wait time. We got in much sooner than a very rude local ahead of us!! Nice to see locals don’t run this restaurant!!
There isn’t a bad seat in the restaurant, however; we definitely got the best seat. The view is spectacular !!
Our waiter Jack was knowledgeable and funny! Thank you Jack.
The clam chowder was the best we ever had.
The French Onion soup looked fabulous! The crouton was a perfect size and the cheese was crispy and gooey. My husband loved it!
The entres were delicious! Hubby had the Meat combo. The potatoes were delicious on there own. Two of us shared the Swordfish with lobster sauce. It was moist and just the perfect amount of sauce. The risotto was tasty even on its own .
Definitely making this our new go to Dinner restaurant.

This summer my family and I enjoyed a delicious dinner at Clancy’s Restaurant. Their stuffed quahog appetizer is the best on the Cape! It is truly an adventure for your tastebuds. The swordfish and salmon entrees were also divine. The presentation of the food is very special as well. If you want fine dining in a casual atmosphere go to Clancy’s. You won’t be disappointed!

Our waiter was so so nice!! He was helpful and possibly the happiest person we have ever met. He had a genuine smile on his face the whole evening! Our food was outstanding and the ambiance was wonderful. We are not even seafood eaters and loved everything we ordered. Our group was split on where to sit, so we ate indoors, but the outdoor seating looks gorgeous! Arrive by 4:45 for an early dinner and you won’t have a long wait.

We had the pink drink (3.8) and the watermelon crush (3.5). The steak was cooked great (4.2) and the fisherman’s platter was (3.9). The service was decent. The waiter did pass by several times without asking if we needed anything and we did end up having to flag him down for additional service. The atmosphere is fantastic and I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who hasn’t tried it!

Really great view and ambiance, the river is full of birds and other wildlife! The service is also lovely, and very quick too!
Onion rings were piled up high, but they had more batter than onion. The portion sizes are quite big here, and the seafood is definitely a must, would recommend the fish sandwich! They also had a few vegetarian options, more than most seafood places around here which was great!

Traveling and decided to give this restaurant a try. Ordered the baked stuffed quohog which was prepared with a bread crumb and seasoning which reminded me of eating a regular clam. In addition we ordered the seafood Alfredo which had 2 shrimp, 2 scallops, some fish and some lobster in a creamy white sauce over fettuccine noodles. My wife and I spilt both items as we are light eaters and didn’t want any leftovers. Just the right amount for two average eaters. Only wished the appetizer the baked stuffed quohog came with two rather than only the one. Nice view and very clean restaurant. Limited parking if they are busy, but it looks like you can park across the road? Staff very friendly and attentive to our needs.
