I’m glad we booked a table, as the place was packed on a Friday night and we wouldn’t have been able to dine in otherwise, and it looked like walk-ins didn’t stand a chance of getting a table.
We ordered the lamb shanks and the chicken Parma. The lamb shanks were delicious, tender, rich and packed with flavour. The chicken Parma, however, fell a little short. It arrived soggy, which took away from the overall taste and texture.
To drink, I tried the Passionfruit and chilli margarita. The balance of sweet, tangy and a little bit of heat made it really refreshing and nice.
The service could use some improvement.

Best pub experience ever! Food was exactly what we needed on our first night in Jindabyne. The chicken was perfectly seasoned on our Caesar salad, bacon was nice and crispy, gin&tonic was yummy and the chippies were delish! We will be back for round two to end our trip.

Earlier in the day, I was mistakenly given “potato” scallops when I ordered grilled salmon with scallops. So when I saw the same dish on the menu here, I had to go with it.
The salmon was cooked perfectly (medium rare) with crunchy skin, but unfortunately, lost some crunch to the dollop of cream on top. The scallops were definitely from the ocean this time, but they were missing that golden crust. The serving was quite small so I bought some chips from the pizza counter upstairs and they were really nice and crunchy.

Bad food for what you pay. Service is not the best as well. I took my own plates to some bench top close to our table. I made eye contact with a couple of workers and non of them helped.
Ani ways, we ordered dessert. A blueberry and almond tart that was pretty not nicely made. You could tell it wasn’t baked there and very cheap quality. With a tiny scoop of also cheap plane ice cream already melting because the plate was hot and the sweetest strawberry sirup also very cheap quality stuff.
And a mars bar cheesecake that tasted like the ones at woolies. Nothing wrong with it, just that you pay to get a nicely made dessert and you get pretty flat cheap quality stuff.

Go there to get some Snowy Way Brewing beers and fresh Kosciuszko on tap. That’s it.
I would not recommend the food – it’s below average for pub fare, and the pool tables/bar games were all broken.
There are better pubs/breweries and better restaurants in Jindabyne, spend your money there.

I’m gonna be generous with this and give it a 4. It’s pub food, I don’t expect anything amazing just that I get a good feed. Food had mixed reactions but was good for the most part. It’s more expensive than usual but it’s jindabyne, everything is going to be priced up. Portions were fine but there were not a lot of chips with our meals. I still recommend their beer battered fish and grilled salmon. Avoid the schnitzel. The pasta, steak are just okay. I don’t usually get salad as a side but it was great here!

Spent over $150 on dinner. Found a hair in the food so we didn’t even eat more than half and the veges were raw. We told a waitress and weren’t even offered a partial refund or replacement meal. Pretty disappointing as one of the only pubs in town. She didn’t even apologise for the fact that there was someone else’s hair in the food.

Food: My food was okay, however the Steak was bad. Some of my family members ordered a WELL-DONE Steak but it came out Raw and Bloody. We kindly asked the Chef to put it back on the stove. They kindly did that, however it came out still Raw again. *Do not come here for steak.* The Coca-Cola tasted Okay, it is the same as all the other restaurants.
Service: The service was okay. The Wait Time was around 15 to 20 Minutes.

Food is always excellent. Haven’t had a bad meal there. The service is speedy. Despite being a large bistro, meals are always prepared quickly. The atmosphere is also friendly and seating is spacious.

Wow. This place is awesome. Came here with dad to climb Mt Kosciusko. Ordered a big steak and mash, with Ceasar salad. Seriously good quality food. Great service, and a modern stylish atmosphere
