She said you only have one family ahead of you, and it’s about 30 min. wait time. After waiting 1hr and 45 min. later when we confronted her with her own words she denied it.
And brushed it off.
As we know that there would be anywhere from 20 min to 45 min waiting time at some restaurants we went for it anyway and decided on going to Claim Jumpers from Redmond. but that of course didn’t happen we arrived there at 5pm and left at 9:45.
Our waitress however received us smiling, happy and very talkative she was very Joyful! Respectful, Caring, and warm she made us forget the unpleasantness of our female host.
Maybe our host was fed up of all the table searching to accommodate so many different guests parties, coming in to celebrate The Father’s in their families.
(What ever the case may be,) However we are happy with those waitress or waiters like our Connie (as I can’t spell her real name) that truly love their jobs. And show us how to enjoy and have fun our evenings out. We will not be coming back to Claim Jumpers there are so many different restaurants to choose from were they treat you with respect. And wouldn’t mind us spend our $400. At their establishment.
Maybe if she would of said sorry for the wait, it was beyond our control it wouldn’t of not bothered us as much as it did.
She said “those people that came after you had reservations, that’s why they got called before you” but little did she know that I was standing looking at the cakes as people said table for 4, table for 2, table for 3. Oh well, what’s done is done and it is what it is. You live and learn. This was our experience of our table for 5. Hopefully no other minority family feels put aside.
This was our experience today! not bashing the place..
I really wanted to write a good review about this place, because this place looks nice. Beautiful grand space, and setting& decoration. But unfortunately I have to agree with several bad reviews. The food is terrible . I thought with prices this high, @ $80.00 for a New York Steak ,I would enjoy every bite, and I was really looking forward to enjoy a meal here on that day ,But it was completely the opposite. I was forcing my teeth to chew the food, and i was shuffing the food down my throat, just like a toddler sitting in high chair, and being forced to eat something dont like , and cant escape. I was hungry, but I remember the price I am paying, so I was reluctantly feeding my self. Almost had tears in my eyes, almost cost me depression.
The prices here would have been insignificant if I enjoyed the meal.
But I felt I wasted my hard earned money, and suffered a bad experience, and I did not get the value for what I had spent here.
Their lobster Mac & cheese was awful
KFC & Popeye make better MAC & Cheese & only cost $4.00
Ooh please allow me to mention their chicken pot pie, for their price I thought I would get the best , but unfortunately, still KFC makes better chicken pot pie in size, in taste, in flavor, and in price for only $7.00 full price.
Not only the prices here are outrageous , but food here is awful
The New York steak they brag about in their menu. Which they priced it @$80.00 When it came to the table.
It looks so lonely and abandoned, and mistreated.
Not only that. The steak did not come with any prepared steak sauce prepared by the chef.
First of all was a very bad presentation. Either the chef doesn’t know how to do good presentation, or did not care, or he was careless about how his customers going to look at his work, and the chef was negligent about his customers appetite, and how their meal looks appealing or not.
Probably never got educated about the corelation & the relation between the food presention, and the appetite opening or appetite closing.
I would get a better presentation at a road house, or at Denny’s
Then when trying to eat into it. It tasted burned. Dry .not juicy. Chewy. Awful. Big huge disappointment.
Then you look at accompanying veggies that came on the same plate.
You wonder whose idea is this.
Is the chef joking.
Or did they run out of choices.
3 little tiny measly weird looking carrots burned. They look like sick weiner. Not even trimmed.
And if you look at the plate the steak came in . The plate does not match the shape of the steak.
There is no creativity. It is like eating at whatever restaurant. Not fancy upper tier nice restaurant like Claim jumper Steakhouse
Then when you bite
into these carrots they are as hard as chewing a piece of wood with no flavor.
They need to change the chef. He is bad for business.
Their chef needs to go to a better culinary school.
Please let me talk about their service . It is not rude, but not friendly. No attentiveness. No smile. Non welcoming personality.
You feel as if they are being reluctant to serve you.
Don’t they know if they make their customers happy, welcome their customers nicely, and made their customers feel appreciated ,their customers will give bigger tips. Not the opposite. Not vise versa
I don’t recommend this place for steak.
Big huge disappointment with huge big hole in your pocket. that’s the truth.
Didn’t really know what to expect by the way of food or service, simply because I haven’t been there in quite some time.
Memories of extra long waits to be seated even after making reservations definitely crossed my mind upon arrival…!
But to my surprise, we we’re seated right away.
Our server, she was very professional and knowledgeable explaining the menu.
I wanted to try something different something unique, she suggested the Jambalaya with rice.
WOW……………………………WOW………………….!
She was absolutely right……
The Jambalaya was filled with a supreme portion of chicken shrimp and sausages, along with a mixture of peppers….
Then gently stirred into a mouth watering semi spicy sauce, ultimately becoming the prefect picture of sheer deliciousness….
WOW……….WOW…………WOW………!
This dish was incredible FABULOUS……..!
As for the rest of the food that was so prefect served, everyone enjoyed it…..
Got say this was a very enjoyable experience in delicious dining for all of us….
Thank you so much Claim Jumpers Steakhouse, for making my son’s 40th birthday so satisfying…..
We had a party of 3 on a Tuesday night at 5:30pm. No wait. Food came out quickly.
We had the Lobster Mac&Cheese, Tri Tip French Dip, and the Ribeye steak. The bloody marry was a bit spicy but good.
I was not completely happy with our waitress because she walked away from me when I was still asking her questions about the menu. Other than that, it was a good visit.
We ate in the bar mid day had the place to ourselves! Staff was kind and courteous!
(My big pet peeve is I always drink alot of fluids so when I go to a restaurant I don’t mind asking for refills but always a plus when the staff is already ahead of the game taking care of me without asking.. maybe its just me)
Food came out hot and ready very fast and was fresh! No complaints at all!
Atmosphere was nice and clean. Tvs at almost every angle while in the bar.
Overall great chain restaurant would definitely go back but not making a special trip if that makes sense!
The food was ok for the price. With good company so I was busy talking more than eating.
We went with the house salad, clam chowder. Lobster sandwich and streak (I believe it was ribeye asked for medium rare).
Frankly all the dishes were disappointing except the salad. The chowder had barely any clams. It was just salty. Not much of any flavors. The sandwich came without cutting as pet the waiter said “they come whole. Not cut.” Not how the picture shows it. A lot of sauce but had about 2 small chunks of lobster meat. The steak came rare, cold with lukewarm fries (not shoestring like it says on the menu) such they forgot.
Not a pleasant experience.
