We dined at Claim Jumper Restaurant inside the Golden Nugget Lake Charles, and overall it was a solid experience.
Linda was our server and she was absolutely amazing: attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. She really made the meal enjoyable.
We ordered the French toast with a fruit plate and sausage. The fruit was very fresh, and everything tasted great. The atmosphere was good overall and felt comfortable.
The only downside was that our table was a little sticky, which knocked it down slightly for me. Other than that, we had a great visit and would definitely come back.

We frequently stay at Golden Nugget through the year, and have had amazing food from this place. But never coming back to this establishment because they denied me of my Veterans discount. Not so mad about the discount, just how they flat out told me I needed a military ID and my Veteran designation on my State ID was not valid.
Employee at the counter taking orders was awfully rude and gave me no eye contact. Spoke over me when I had a question about how many pieces come in the wing order. She kept insisting I give up my name first before even giving me an answer. Spoke to the manager and she said sorry, yes we train all our cash handlers to ask for a military ID for the discount. Which is required for the discount.
Just an FYI, as a veteran, not all of us have a valid military ID just for the reason that they force us to turn them in when we get discharged. And that is the reason we go through all the proper steps and loops to get our State ID verified with the veterans designation. Never coming here again. Please train your employees to be nicer and smile.

It might not look too appetizing .. but This salad is the most delicious salad I have ever tasted. My husband isn’t into salads and he almost devoured the whole thing. We stayed for the weekend at the golden nugget and came here everyday. Their French fries and cheese bread are also good. The pizza is okay. I tried their margarita and I did not like it. I would stick to drinking from inside the casino or go to their champagne bar.
I would recommend this salad so you can feel light and satisfied as you go off to gamble inside the casino. No Need for reservations. You can also use your Landry club membership to rack up points. They also stay open late for carry out only.

Please skip this place. You can tell by the lack of people eating that it’s not worth your money. We stopped for a quick snack to hold over before going out for dinner. The drinks were good no issue there. Very limited selection however. The wings were ok, got the half hot, half mild but all tasted the same. The fries were sad, limp, no seasoning you could taste, just poor. The service was great until she disappeared. Never asked how the food was out checked back if we wanted a second round of drinks.

We ate here as it was the only place that didn’t have a wait list. It is located at the end of a long row of restaurants. Marker Mark drinks were nice and strong. We started off with Loaded potato skins.. I ordered the Blacked chicken fettuccine, and Hubby ordered the Chopped steak that came with Loaded mashed potatoes and vegs. Food was delicious.The wait time for our food was a little too long, which is why the “4” rating.

Service was over 1.5 hours so get ready to stay a while. Chicken fried chicken was undercooked. Salad was terrible. Just a bad experience over all. Waitress was very consistent in saying I’m so sorry ….but after the first hour I just wanted to leave

Definitely the weak link of restaurants inside the Golden Nugget Casino. The food was just “ok”… sort of like frozen dinner-been under a heat lamp too long cuisine. Our hostess was nice. The waitress was polite but not very attentive, could not remember things we asked for, and I literally waited 35 minutes to get a Coke refill.. after I asked twice.. the food was also pricy for the quality of what you get. I would recommend the wait at one of the other restaurants, which were much better by far!

Server tried to over sale their rewards program….wasted 5 minutes of our lives. Grilled cheese sandwich was noteworthy. Atmosphere is inside a casino so not quite the same vibe as a stand alone restaurant
