A very cute small coffee shop. Very cozy and friendly staff. Coffee is good and food is as well. I love that they are open super early, great for an early morning bite. Especially when everything else isn’t open till 8am. We’ve been here 3 times so far and no complaints.

I stopped by CJ’s Coffee Shop with some decent expectations, but I walked away feeling underwhelmed — not so much by what I ordered, but by what I paid for it. $13 got me something that felt more in line with what I might pick up from a bodega or a corner deli, not from an established eatery in Rockville Centre.

I understand that with a lot of restaurants, sometimes you’re paying more for the ambience than the food. But in this case, I didn’t feel like I got either. There was nothing particularly memorable or special about the experience to justify the price.

To be clear, I’m not necessarily upset with the food itself — it was passable — but it didn’t match the cost or the expectations set by the setting. I am still curious to try other items on the menu, but I have to admit I’m hesitant now.

Also worth noting: parking in the area isn’t great, which only adds to the overall frustration.

Classic American coffee shop with great food, prices and service. I was in and out in 15 minutes. The home-fries were delicious and the turkey was homemade you can taste the difference. The portions were generous. Will be stopping by soon!

If you’re looking for a really solid coffee shop / diner, you’ve found it.

It has that old school feeling, but kept up to date and super clean. I sat at the counter, and there are quite a few tables and booths around. It’s fairly busy on a Sunday morning without getting too wild or overwhelming. Just folks coming in and out of their regular neighborhood place.

The staff is super welcoming, attentive, and quick, always offering to top up a coffee or refill a water. They handled the busyness expertly, without stumbling or stress.

I got the two eggs with bacon and potatoes, all perfectly cooked. The coffee was exactly what you’d expect, with no complaints.

Definitely coming back here for more.

I enjoyed the food here for sure. It was a little tight in there, but other than that, it wasn’t bad for a quick bite. I tried their Cinnabon French toast, and it was amazing. I’m not a big fan of their PB & J shake, but if you’re into trying something new and really love PB & Js, then I say give it a shot.

Amazing food. Get the cinnamon bun French toast! Also had two Sunnyside up eggs with bacon and sausage. Bacon was cooked extra crispy but the sausage was perfectly done. Eggs were runny and the atmosphere was really nice. Old time diner feel with extremely friendly staff. Can’t wait to come again!

We found this coffee shop and gave it a go. It felt like being back in time in an old style coffee shop. Loved the atmosphere. Everyone was so pleasant. The food was ok.

This is the place your brain thinks of when it hears “Diner”. It’s got an amazing old school, classic Americana feel that I absolutely adore. The place is pretty small with only a handful of tables and counter space, so make sure you grab your spot early. I got the cinnamon bun French toast with a side of bacon and coffee, and the portion was perfect and not overly sweet at all and the bacon was perfectly crispy. Coffee, despite being named a coffee house, was your run of the mill coffee. Staff was very friendly and helpful. No parking lot, so make sure you are okay with parking on the side streets and walking a little. Some sources had said it was cash only but they do take cards now! The prices are literally the best I’ve seen anywhere, best bang for your buck no questions asked. I’ll be happily returning here to try more!

This is the quintessential Dinner/Cafe. Took my grandkids out for breakfast and it was instantly a family breakfast with the staff making us feel like we were a part of their family, interacting with both the grandchildren and us… the old ones.
We had a lovely time at a very reasonable price.
