The lunch service was very slow, and my fries were barely warm. Drink refills were impossible. The bartender had to care for the bar and the tables below. She was also working a double shift, and multiple employees were discussing how many shifts they had to cover. It’s a crisis everywhere, so I get it. Just thankful I could have a meal out. Everything was delicious, and the staff was kind. Thanks for busting your tails. I’ll definitely be back!
We had another excellent dinner at CJ McLoone’s this week and we also dined there a month ago. I meant to write a review last month but finally got to it this time. When you first pull in the parking lot and it is almost full you suspect that the place will be packed inside. While they were very busy and most tables were taken we were seated right away and had a server come right over to get our drink order. I wanted to point out that Rachel our server was outstanding. We also had her the last time we were here and that night they were short staffed and she had to cover the whole back dining room which is a lot of tables. We were prepared to be patient but she hustled and was efficient and somehow got everything to us quickly with a smile. What differentiated her as a waitress was that instead of looking stressed and angry at the impossible workload, she was fun with a sense of humor and seemed to be enjoying herself. So nice to see someone enjoying their job which can be tough one when the restaurant is packed. The food was excellent both times and while we mostly had burgers and fries they were higher end beef and really tasty and the sweet potato fries were outstanding because they were piping hot. They really seem to know how to get the food out quickly here. I also thought the place was classy and was a good value based on the quality of the food and the pricing. We will definitely be back and this will become our go to place for a casual dinner.
Food was very good. The decor is a very big change from its previous style, nicely done. Very clean and adhering to guidelines and distance protocol. They seem to be having the same issue of staff shortage, service seemed a little slow. Very pleasant waitress and quick to get to us to get our drink order, took awhile to get our food and to take our payment. Again feel it is due to short staff. They have a varied menu with some excellent choices. Would recommend as long as you aren’t in a hurry. I will be going again soon the choices on the menu are really nice.
I only ate at the bar, but it’s an awesome spot. My girlfriend and I really enjoy coming here. The bartenders and staff are friendly, the food is good (fire) and comes out fast after ordering. I recommend this place as a friend once recommend it to me!
The food was delicious but the service and manager was not good. Cold coffee and cold dessert when it was stated on menu as a warm dessert. When asked if they could heat it the waitress replied, I guess we could try. When she finally brought it back it still wasn’t warm. Took forever to get the coffees and took even longer to get the hot coffees. The atmosphere felt like you were in a twilight movie with the lights that kept dimming and brightening. The lighting has been this was for years, literally. When brought up to manager she responded that it just happened. It has been that way since it was CJ Montana. We will never go back there again because of the service and management. We were treated like it was our fault for the cold coffees and dessert. We were there from 5:30 to 9. Ridiculously long time. Too bad because the food was excellent.
The food was amazing! We were pleasantly surprised by the drink prices, as we were eating a little early and were informed of the house specials. Our waitress, Kara, was extremely helpful and accommodating with our menu selections.
The food was a little undercooked. However, the others at the table enjoyed the good. We had to ask the server for condiments more than once. Had to remind the server that our drinks (non-alcoholic) still had not been brought although the meal was served. Error made in running the credit card.
Servers were great but the kitchen seemed slow, food quality was good except desserts. Not a normal McCloone’s experience. Burgers were good and the Salmon with Vegetables Risotto was excellent
Shout out to our server Gabby this evening. She went above and beyond and we really appreciated her service this evening. She made our night out that much better. Thank you, Gabby!
This may not be gourmet food, but it way above the average for good “pub food”. The service is excellent, but can be slow if they are busy.During this recent lunch, I had the special sliced turkey, avocado and burrata sandwich on ciabatta bread. Very creative and tasty, but you’ll need some additional paper napkins if you are as sloppy as me.About two weeks ago, I went for the roast chicken sandwich which was also very good. This McLoones is on Shrewsbury Avenue, south of 520, and its certainly the pick for a really good lunch in this area.
