This is Dak Prescott type of performance… I was genuinely disappointed. I love supporting small businesses and usually give a lot of grace, but this hibachi was a letdown. For nearly $40 out the gate, I ordered seafood hibachi with steak, lobster, and shrimp and it honestly felt like robbery. The seafood was undercooked, the seasoning was so heavy it overpowered everything you couldn’t even enjoy the experience of eating it. Hibachi is supposed to be about flavor, balance, and the process none of that was there. No love. This was pitiful. The People deserve better for their money.

We hired Citybachi to cater our event and paid in full upfront, as requested by Chris, the owner. After receiving payment, he stopped responding to our emails and text messages. We finally heard from him the day before our event, when he said he was dealing with personal issues and asked if we could reschedule — which was completely unacceptable at that point.
We requested a full refund, but despite multiple follow-ups, we have never received our money back and have not heard from him since.
This experience was extremely unprofessional and disappointing. I would strongly advise others to avoid booking with Citybachi or ensure payment is made only after services are rendered.

These trays of food are not as advertised I ordered five of holiday special trays for Saturday 12/20 which should’ve fed 40 to 60 people as advertised and it didn’t even feed 30 people. The pan in the picture was full mine were only a quarter full and the rice was only a half a pan for five orders. The owner promised to bring more rice and never showed up and then avoided my phone text and calls for the last three days then promised to call me back in 10 minutes and never called me back. He is bad business please google his reviews before you proceed with doing business with him.

I visited Citybachi food truck on Railroad Ave with high hopes after seeing their enticing IG posts.
However, my experience was a huge letdown. Despite arriving well before their midnight closing time, the menu was severely limited to only steak and chicken. With only two staff members, the wait was excruciatingly long.
An hour for my food, with just 7 people ahead, was unacceptable. The steak was tough, the chicken dry, and the rice oily. The lack of empathy from the cashier added insult to injury. Needless to say, I won’t be returning. I should have listened to what I read in previous reviews.
I can go elsewhere and get better hibachi styled food for less money. Thank you, but no thanks !!! Do better !!!

Extremely Disappointing and Untrustworthy Experience
We paid CityBachi in full for their services, but no service was ever provided. After payment, the business became completely unresponsive. When we finally heard back, we were told the owner was dealing with personnel issues, but after requesting a refund, we received no response.
To make matters worse, the company’s website appears to be fraudulent — it contains no current or verifiable information, and there is no reliable way to contact or confirm the legitimacy of the business.
This has been a very disappointing and frustrating experience. I would strongly caution others to avoid CityBachi.

They deleted this review off their IG so hopefully you come here first unlike us! Our order took over two hours for them to make, they didn’t have what we ordered online which was ribs and they substituted with shrimp which doesn’t equal what ribs cost, and then shorted us shrimp on one of our plates. We spent $120 on two plates that looked like this and it looks nothing like the loaded up plates on their Instagram, I can’t believe how much hype they get.

My food had hair on the inside of the lid. I opened the tray to go to take a bite and saw it I took it back to the truck and one of the guys said “what you want me to do” I didn’t even eat it after all the money I spent

City Bachi is an amazing food truck with food made fresh. For other reviews saying it takes an hour I’ve never had that happen and find it hard to believe, because even on a busy day I’ve never waited more than 20 minutes for great fresh food. The cashiers and cooks are always very nice and working as fast as they can. I can’t wait for the new place in SF to open and to be able to try that also, but I will always come back to this truck for great food close to home!
