I just found out you’re chopping the pork chop off the menu in February and I was in literal tears. I’m not even being dramatic. This is one of the few places left where you can get a real pork chop on the bone, and honestly what’s up with restaurants acting like bones don’t exist anymore? Even steakhouses are out here going boneless.
This pork chop is that dish. Perfectly cooked every single time, juicy, seasoned right, and it doesn’t even need anything… but then you add that maple-glazed applesauce situation? Game over. I order mine on the side because I like to dip (I’m picky and I own it), and I always swap for double mashed potatoes instead of the shoestring onions. It’s consistently one of the best meals I get anywhere.
I’m also not a once-in-a-while visitor. I’ve been a loyal customer for the past 3 years, and I’m here a LOT (twice a week, sometimes three). I bring my laptop, plug in, have a couple beers, and get work done. It’s my spot.
Shoutout to Olivia behind the bar. She’s absolutely incredible. Warm, sweet, remembers what I like, and she cakes the rim of my glass with caramel and cinnamon during the holidays, and will even keep doing it after the season until the caramel runs out. That kind of service is rare.
So yes, I’m starting a campaign. DON’T CHOP THE CHOP. Corporate, please hear me. Removing this pork chop is a huge mistake. Keep it on the menu.

The original app we had ordered was no longer in stock so we had to decided on another one. We ordered something else, but the sauce’s pretty much saved it. I ordered the flatbread pizza but it was burnt and needed more balsamic on top. The crust was a little burnt in some places. The chicken was very rubbery and cold which was extremely disappointing since I paid extra for the protein. My husband ordered the two plate combo: the wings were ok, but not what he expected and the pulled pork was not to my liking. It was clump together and had a weird texture. In my opinion, it did not seem like actual bbq pork, but more like pork from a can, which was NOT what we were expecting. A rush came in when we were ready so it took a few min to get our check and to go box. Overall I was very disappointed with the food- it was not work the $120 for a 1.5 hour meal.
I would not go back to order food, only for drinks.
My wife and I had a wonderful experience at City Works in Watertown recently. From the moment we sat down, our server Hazel provided outstanding service that really elevated our visit.
Hazel was incredibly professional throughout our meal – attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely friendly. She made great recommendations and ensured we had everything we needed at just the right times. It’s clear she takes pride in her work and creating a positive dining experience for guests.
The food was delicious as always, but Hazel’s exceptional service is what made this visit particularly memorable. If you’re visiting City Works in Watertown, I highly recommend requesting Hazel as your server. We’ll definitely be back!
