If you’re near Owensboro, KY, you have to visit this hidden gem! It’s a cozy, intimate spot, so I highly recommend making an online reservation—we were definitely glad we did.
The food and presentation were outstanding. We started with the crab cakes, which were packed with real lump crab meat and absolutely delicious. My daughter’s “8oz” filet was a showstopper; the presentation was a 10/10, and the cut was so generous it felt more like 12oz. It was cooked to a perfect medium—tender, juicy, and flavorful. I went with the Hot Brown while my wife had the shrimp pasta, and both dishes were fantastic.
With its cool atmosphere, great vibes, and top-notch service, this place really impressed us. Don’t miss out on this little treasure!

This is a small restaurant but it is big on flavor. The service here is excellent. The catfish was delicious and the sweet potato side dish tasted more like an elegant desert. The restaurant was kept very clean. It was really easy to find using Google Maps. There is plenty of free street parking out front of their building.

I had a wonderful experience at City Walk! Their servers were so kind and wonderful conversationalist. I ordered their fried catfish, sweet potato mash, and broccoli! It all was delicious. The sweet potato mash was such a pleasant surprise! I hadn’t heard of it before, and thought it would be like mashed potatoes. Instead, it was a tasty sweet treat!! Highly recommend.

After many trips to Owensboro, we finally got to enjoy this place. Reservations highly suggested. Extremely popular place and it’s very small. The best Beef Manhattan I’ve ever had. Excellent Crab Cakes.

First time trying. Southern Fried catfish with mac and cheese with fries…plus order of crab cakes. Yum on both accounts. Catfish was moist and tender with right amount of seasoning. Crab cakes were visibly full of crab. tendar and moist. Price for both were very reasonable and full of value.

My family went out to eat for lunch today. The meatloaf with fries and mac& cheese was great! My son had the Catfish which said was really good. I had the BBQ chicken flatbread, yummy. Would recommend this place and gave it 5 stars all around. We will definitely be back.

You know what it’s like to have dinner at a place and say wow that was the best food I’ve had then go back a second time and say ehhhh not as good as I thought?? This is NOT that place!! We’ve been three times now and every time is as good if not better than the last. We finally figured we could split a dinner (huge portions) and enjoy extra appetizers. Let’s start at appetizers. Fried zucchini, which I had never had before was awesome!! Lightly breaded, fresh and tasty. I’m a crab cake snob. This is Kentucky. There is NO WAY this Maryland girl trusts a crab cake in ANY OTHER state. Well after our first visit and the food being incredible, we decided let’s take a chance. Thankful we did. They were beyond delicious and just as tasty as the beach restaurants on the Eastern shore. Truth be told, these were probably better!! The salmon and chicken were cooked to perfection. And portions were so large, we easily shared and ordered an Extra side. Service is always great. Alcoholic beverages aren’t skimpy and their Bahama Mama is super fruity and refreshing.
Living in TN I cannot wait for trips to Owensboro to have dinner here. I actually get excited at the idea of dinner at this amazing place!! My mouth is watering thinking about it.
Awesome food, exceptional service and beyond reasonable prices for what you get. Looking forward to my next stop in. Oh and if you’re planning an evening out and decide on City Walk, call ahead and make a reservation. You won’t regret it!! Be sure to allow time to walk along the riverfront. You’ll be stuffed from the portions of these meals!! Thanks to the amazing chef at City Walk. So glad to have found this place!! I’d give it a 10 star review if I could!!

This is a fantastic choice for lunch. Beautifully restored historic building. We had a great meal. It was reasonably priced. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable.

To be frank, I looked over the reviews and decided that with the various reviews we will refrain from visiting this facility. The reviews varied greatly from poor to great. To us, the opportunity for “great” does not appear to be readily available so, even with us being local, not going to attempt the chance! Simply too many poor and low rated reviews to give it a try!
