What truly sets City Tavern and Table apart is the people. The bar staff, servers, and management worked seamlessly together, delivering warm, attentive, and genuinely endearing service from start to finish. Every interaction felt welcoming and intentional, creating an atmosphere that was both polished and comfortable. It’s rare to find a place that excels equally in food, drinks, space, and service—but City Tavern and Table does exactly that.
Our waiter was super friendly and attentive, and everyone who came to our table was great! For cocktails, I had the Fig-geddaboutit and my fiance had the Ocho Loco – both were delicious! I went with the burger, he had the chicken sandwich, and we both opted for the upgrade to truffle fries. We enjoyed the food just as much as the drinks!
The interior is a good balance of casual and upscale, and the vibe overall was really inviting! We’re excited to have a new place in the neighborhood, especially one with a happy hour, and can’t wait to come back.
However, on a regular Sunday evening when I stopped by to pick up food, the experience felt very different. The hostess completely ignored me while continuing a conversation with a server, which made me feel a bit unwelcome. The bartender was kind and took my order, but I did notice that he offered water to other guests and didn’t extend the same courtesy to me.
Overall, it’s a beautiful place with great food and a fantastic atmosphere, hopefully the consistency in service improves during quieter times.
From the moment you walked in, the ambiance wrapped you up like a warm holiday hug. The space was beautifully decorated, glowing with Christmas spirit, and felt genuinely warm, inviting, and festive from end to end. It didn’t just look like Christmas—it felt like Christmas.
The live band was absolutely phenomenal and set the perfect tone for the evening. The drinks flowed seamlessly, the food was abundant and consistently hot, and the variety was impressive—thoughtfully curated options for vegetarians, meat lovers, and fish lovers alike. No one was left wanting.
What truly set the night apart, though, was the service. It was beyond exceptional. Every single staff member was engaged, attentive, and genuinely present. There wasn’t an ounce of stress in the room—only professionalism, ease, and joy. You could feel the care behind every interaction.
Elvis (the owner) deserves special recognition—not because of his title, but because that night it didn’t matter. He was in the trenches with his staff, working alongside them, leading by example. No ego, no distance—just presence. Lauren (the manager) is the kind of professional every restaurant hopes to have. She ran the night with calm, grace, and total command of the room, and Alan (the assistant manager) was phenomenal as well. From overseeing food service to staying through the breakdown clearly built something special here.
The leadership, the culture, and the execution were flawless. The way they’ve shaped this place—and how their staff reflects that—is nothing short of remarkable.
I left feeling happy, cared for, and honestly a little emotional. There was love in that room. There was joy. There was Christmas.
I cannot recommend City Tavern & Table highly enough. Five stars doesn’t even feel like enough—but it’s a strong start. Thank you and Merry Christmas!

Also parking is in the same building as the restaurant which is a plus.
