Upon arrival, Mo greeted guests with a friendly smile and an unmistakable sense of confidence. Rather than offering a routine welcome, he made an immediate effort to ensure everyone felt comfortable and valued. His communication was clear and engaging, striking a perfect balance between professionalism and friendliness. This first impression established trust and made it clear that customer satisfaction was his top priority.
One of the most impressive aspects of Mo’s service was his deep knowledge of the menu. He explained dishes in detail, confidently answering questions about ingredients, spice levels, and preparation methods. For those unfamiliar with certain items, Mo offered thoughtful recommendations tailored to individual preferences, ensuring that each guest felt confident in their choices. His ability to personalise suggestions demonstrated not only expertise but also a genuine interest in providing the best possible experience.
Throughout the meal, Mo’s attentiveness remained consistent. He checked in at appropriate moments, ensuring that everything was to our satisfaction without ever being intrusive. Drinks were refilled promptly, plates were cleared efficiently, and any additional requests were met with enthusiasm rather than obligation. His calm and composed demeanour, even during busy periods, highlighted his strong work ethic and ability to manage pressure with ease.
What truly set Mo apart, however, was his passion for hospitality. His interactions felt sincere rather than rehearsed, creating a welcoming atmosphere that encouraged guests to relax and enjoy their time at City Spice. Small gestures—such as remembering preferences or sharing brief insights about the dishes—made the experience feel personal and thoughtful. These details, while seemingly minor, had a significant impact on the overall enjoyment of the evening.
In conclusion, Mo’s amazing service at City Spice exemplifies the highest standard of customer care. His professionalism, menu knowledge, attentiveness, and genuine warmth combined to create an exceptional dining experience. Mo did not simply serve food; he enhanced the atmosphere of the restaurant and left a lasting positive impression. His dedication to excellence reflects positively on City Spice as a whole and serves as a reminder of how outstanding service can turn an ordinary meal into an unforgettable experience.
Told us to give the place 5 stars instead of getting us a check, explains why rating is so inflated. Also offered and charged us for sparkling water when we just wanted regular water. Just clarify the cost when they offer you anything! ♂️
Every restaurant on this street has an award so just know the food is “fine” and a bit overpriced
The atmosphere was lovely, and lively at lunch time. Service was incredibly quick, professional and attentive without being too much. Wipes and mint chocolate provided at the end of the meal.
The food was nice on the whole, although the saag paneer was quite bitty- so if you prefer it smoother steer clear. Everything else was lovely!
