Our server was super friendly and on top of things, which made the whole experience even better. Drinks were solid too — great beer list and tasty cocktails.
Overall, City Park Grill gives you that perfect mix of good energy, good people, and seriously good food. Definitely adding this one to my regular rotation!
What really stood out to me, though, was their kindness and flexibility. I’ve had bariatric surgery, and they graciously allowed me to order from the kids menu without hesitation. So many places won’t accommodate this, and it was such a breath of fresh air to be treated with understanding and respect.
Great food, excellent service, and a team that truly cares about their guests. I’ll absolutely be back and highly recommend City Park Grill to anyone in St. Louis!
Our waitress was super sweet and took great care of us, though. Drinks were kept full. Pacing felt solid.
The sourdough melt sandwich was just about the best sandwich I’ve ever had in my life! Spectacular!! The fresh cut fries are ridiculous. My wife really enjoyed her veggie burger too. I would gladly go back here for lunch.
The server we had was superb. Professional and knowledgeable. I wish I knew her name to compliment her. She had shoulder length curly hair and wore a bandana.
All of the food tasted fresh and handmade. Such a breath of fresh air when you can tell a place really cares about the quality of their product.
The chicken strips were phenomenal. 3 for $11 is a little crazy but, hey, they’re delicious. Clearly hand breaded and cooked to order. 8.9/10 clucks
The wings were on the same level of scrumptiousness. Crispy, juicy, with a pleasing traditional buffalo sauce. Nothing out of the ordinary. Just a solid wing that keeps you wanting another. 8.7/10 clucks.
The sauces were tried were both clearly homemade and first-rate. The regular ranch AND peppercorn ranch are perfect accompaniments to the tasty chicken delights.
Wings were amazing
Wife’s burger was also amazing
My steak sandwich was good but the edges were a little crunchy.
Fries looked burnt, but were very well seasoned and tasted good
The kitchen floor was visibly filthy and appeared to be covered with fluids, no one had hairnets and gloves were not present which immediately raised concerns about cleanliness. At the front bar, the bartender stood directly in front of me on her phone for about a minute, texting, without acknowledging me. When my order was ready, the receipt was placed on the counter while my hand was clearly extended waiting for it — that felt dismissive and unnecessary.
The food itself was typical bar food — acceptable, but nothing that stood out.
The best part of the interaction was a bartender with brown hair and a slender build who eventually acknowledged me after several others passed by. She was polite and professional, and her demeanor showed what customer service here could be.
With better sanitation practices and stronger awareness of customers — even those just picking up orders — this could be an okay place to grab food and a drink. As it stands, those issues hurt the overall impression.
They hold trivia on Thursdays, have a great happy hour from 4-6 on weekdays, and do bourbon tastings throughout the week.
Plenty of good beers on tap and a fantastic bourbon selection. The food is good and reasonably priced with large portions. We ordered 2 beers, wings, fries, and a frisco melt with a side of wings and spent $50.
Definitely recommend for an easy dinner or happy hour. We’ll be back often!
