I recently visited City Line Diner, and I have to say, it’s the best diner around! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff is incredibly attentive and makes you feel right at home. The menu is extensive, offering a wide range of delicious options, from classic breakfast dishes to hearty dinners. The food is always fresh and flavorful, and the portions are generous. Whether you’re in the mood for a stack of fluffy pancakes or a juicy burger, City Line Diner has got you covered. It’s my go-to spot for a great meal any time of day!

We get omlettes here and we always have a good time and good service. Eggs are eggs but they do a nice job and I think they are the best around for breakfast. The home fries are always cooked well. As far as diners, this is my favorite in the area. I’m going to try lunch offerings next as they always have a good amount of specials. I’m just stuck on getting an omlette because I like it so much there.

Very cozy diner! The Pancakes Deluxe were delicious, and there were plenty of other options on the menu. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more. The service and atmosphere were great. I loved the classic, old-style diner vibe. Highly recommend!

It was good solid diner food. My husband had fish tacos the beans were very dry. Daughter had penne ala vodka. Large portion enough for two. My patty melt was fine!

We never get sauce ON wraps or sandwichs and sometimes not even on the side! Last time I didn’t have sauces at home so had to eat big dry wrap. This time, made sure to ask for “extra sauces on the side” and good thing we checked because there wasn’t ANY, again! And sure enough none on the wrap either! Asked for sauce (honey mustard that supposed to be on the wrap) and get 2 little Kraft cups like a fast food restaurant. So now I have to try to dip my wrap in a little sauce cup, poor globs on top, or pull it all apart and try to get it in there without destroying it.. not what you should be doing when you pay for food. And wasn’t enough for whole wrap so still have to use my own sauce anyway. Ordered rubens, gyros, and same story. Sounds nit picky but that little detail will ruin the meal.. that you paid good money btw. Think we’ll be driving across town from now on, Palace is top notch and they put the sauce ON the sandwiches for ya..

Yum! My second time to visit since they have opened. It has been nicely remodeled and still has a great diner look.
We all enjoyed our meals and look forward to eating there again.

As someone who used to go the Acropolis (former diner here) that place sucked but it was open 24 hours so I went, now CityLine isn’t open late but it’s a GOOD diner. Definitely the best in Poughkeepsie, food is quality and I can’t speak for other people’s taste but it is fresh and clean and that’s important. Super friendly staff, nice atmosphere, retro diner vibe. Good burgers. Sit at the counter and drank coffee inconspicuously, it’s fun

Paola was our server, she was great. She checked back after food was very quickly delivered to ensure we were happy and satisfied with food. We both had French Dip sandwiches which were delicious and plentiful. Came with a cup of soup of the day (beef barley), which was definitely home made and we substituted breakfast potatoes for fries. Great coffee finished up the meal. Such a wonderful family-friendly place to eat in Poughkeepsie!
