Family, guy next door atmosphere. You feel like you’ve known Jake, the owner and grill man, your whole life. Excellent food made to order. Excellent and friendly service. Very human experience in a world full of corporate chain disasters. CASH ONLY or you can order online with a card. City Jake’s is definitely a cute local spot. It’s been around awhile, and Jake is the one preparing your food. Walk right in, order, and in no time, it’ll be up.
This is the type of place your all American hard working folks would stop in to grab a good, decently priced hot diner meal. Nothing fancy here, just easy peasy. In & out. Check it out for a yummy breakfast or lunch- locals style. I am always for supporting hardworking hometown people!

I commute from CT to Mass was hoping to find a coffee shop . This place was the closest to my job, stopped in and got a coffee upon stirring and mixing it there was a bug … utterly gross! She proceeded to say that hasn’t happened here in 30 years & seemed bothered as if it was her who just sipped out of a coffee with a bug in it. Never again

City Jake’s is easily the best kept secret in the City of Slringfield for breakfast. If you are in yhe area you must visit. There is no sacrifice in quality for the value they provide. If you are hungry, I recommend you get the “City Slicker” breakfast. You get eggs, homefries (or grits), sausage/bacon (or corned beef hash), toast, pancakes, and even a coffee. That is a full breakfast you can share for under $20. You can thank me later when you go.
