You want to experience what down home Texas hospitality is like? Come on down to City Cafe! The atmosphere is friendly, homey, and welcoming. The service is outstanding! The staff were truly helpful, accommodating, and genuinely happy that we came in. That’s hard to find these days. The food was DE-licious! I had a breakfast burrito with sausage, egg, cheese, and potato. Fresh, tasty, and not greasy at all. I noticed that my food as well as my husband’s food was not over cooked either. That’s exactly how I like it. My husband got eggs fried over medium, hash browns, sausage patties, and a biscuit with gravy. He loved his food and his coffee was hot. If you are in the area, pay City Cafe a visit. Don’t let the name fool you though. It may be in the city, but it’s a flavor rodeo for your mouth!

Definitely an old diner feel with the environment and the food. We called in to go and they were kind to let us still eat it there and even made sure we had a drink. We were on our way to Dallas and this was a quick easy stop for a burger.

Super bland food. Very limited menu and drink options. Uncomfortably quiet and open are very specific hours. Won’t be returning here.

My daughter and grandson tried this place for lunch. The service was good. My fish was not cooked on the inside. My daughter said her food was not good either and we both agreed most the fries tasted like cheap permade frozen not cooked at the right temperature and the grease needed to be changed.
There are other places in Iowa Park that I would recommend from our past experiences.

Had the lunch special today, enchiladas with spanish rice, beans and homemade chips with homemade salsa. The salsa was awesome; the entree, not so much. My son and I split a piece of Butter Pecan cake with cream cheese frosting. I’d come back just for that our waitress was great, too

I so love the meatloaf and the catfish. Every Friday is Catfish and Shrimp. And it’s well worth it. Save room for Iris’s homemade pie. Their cook and waitress are amazing.
