City Burger – Sterling Heights
Food: The variety of burgers, chicken, and fish sandwiches is amazing. This will be your most difficult choice all week. I’ve never had a bad meal at City Burger. Today’s meal was The Detroiter. It’s a big, juicy, delicious double patty burger with American cheese, mozzarella cheese, and a fried egg on top. It’s beautiful just to look at. All their burgers are. The Detroiter reflects the city that it was named after. It’s bigger, cheesier, and it’s got a unique blend of things that all work really well together… just like our city.
Hospitality: The drive through staff is fast and friendly. I’ve never had a long wait. I have not had the pleasure of dining inside the restaurant to comment on the hospitality experience.
Service: It’s 10 minutes to the best burger of your life. Most restaurants can’t match that level of service especially for a premium product like a city burger. There are lots of people going in and out of City Burger, but I’ve never seen anybody waiting very long. Just call ahead and order or order online.
Housekeeping: I’ve only been through the drive through so I can’t comment on the interior of the restaurant or the restrooms. The exterior is bright and well-maintained.
Atmosphere: City Burger is a drive through or dine in restaurant. It’s great for casual dining especially if you are in a hurry and love great burgers.
Conclusion: You will do no better in the Detroit area than City Burger. It will be one of the greatest burgers of your life, and you won’t run out of options to keep you coming back. They have three locations in Sterling Heights, Warren, and White Lake to serve the northern Detroit suburbs. Support a great local Detroit restaurant and have a City Burger today.
10/10 highly recommended
I had the Detroit double burger w/onion rings, slaw, and a Dr. Pepper.
Wife had the Chicken tender sandwich w/fries, slaw, & an Oreo shake.
The burger was HUGE! It was cooked perfectly medium and you can tell it’s definitely fresh hand formed ground beef patties on a toasted brioche.
The chicken sandwich was made from actual chicken tenders! It was huge, juicy, and the “city sauce” was just spicy enough to give it flavor without going overboard.
Oreo shake was very smooth and delicious.
The restaurant was super clean too!
So much food, I actually had to take the rest home. Nice job City Burger!
Went in on a casual Friday night after watching a movie. Most café and restaurants are closed by this time. Immediately noticed the esthetic environment they had set up. Honestly, it looks great. Clean tiles and contrasting frames on walls looked even better with the late night lighting.
Let’s talk about the food:
I thought the menu was a bit too condensed but it makes sense that the restaurant is pretty big, and might be serving all dishes from open to close for customers who have niche preferences.
I asked the gentlemen serving us for help with the decision making and they gave us the run down. When Malibu burger was recommended, I was a bit reluctant knowing that there were Doritos in the burger because the crisps can easily turn into a messy spill. But they assured me it wouldn’t be a mess and told me it’d be a good experience. We ordered three different burgers, one as a combo. The combo came with a choice of fries and a drink.
The Malibu and the Detroiter were an 11/10. I was wrong in judging the Malibu before having it. The fries were also great with Cajun seasoning and a perfect crisp with soft insides. However, I made some adjustments to the third order without realizing that the ingredient removed was the main source of taste for that dish so I won’t mention or criticize it.
