Smell upon entry had me drooling. Staff was awesome and the food was amazing it’s exactly what we were looking for on our Sunday funday food outing. I loved the brisket chili crispy baked potato nice contrast of the hearty, smoky brisket with the cool sour cream and the kick from the pickled jalapeños. We sampled several sides too. My favorite were the baked beans. Pictured is my girlfriends loaded bbq crispy baked potato (she substituted pork for chicken)

If you are looking for a wedding or event to be catered, look no further! City BBQ catered my wedding in August of 2025. It was fabulous from start to finish! The taste testing was magnificent, the communication and transparency while planning and pricing our wedding went well, and the actual wedding food was AMAZING. I still have guests tell me it was the BEST meal they had ever had at a wedding! I posted photos from our tasting as I do not have any pictures of the food from the wedding but take my word, and all of my guests raving reviews for it, it was fabulous! They were even great about having vegetarian options for some of our guests. We went with pulled chicken and brisket for our meat options, green beans without pork, baked beans, potato salad, mac & cheese, corn bread pudding, & vegetarian pasta. Just couldn’t be happier with their food and service! Thank you City BBQ! Specifically Abbey for wonderful communication and making sure everything went smooth!

I was in the mood for ribs today. I haven’t been here so I gave it a shot. I ordered a half rack of ribs, corn pudding, baked beans, and a fountain drink. The ribs were disappointing. They were a bit tough and didn’t fall off the bone like some of my other rib experiences. They offer sauce on the side and I really liked the original and the spicy. I had a piece of Texas toast. It was really good. The corn pudding was okay. The baked beans were really good and I liked it best. There were other sides available but what I chose was very filling. The service was great and the dining room was clean and spacious. I didn’t try any other meat but would pass on the ribs. I did notice that the menu listed calories for each item. That’s very helpful. I decided to skip dessert and recall the peach cobbler was over 1000 calories. The place was overall good but the food that I had was not that great.

They must have one pan of quality pork that they put on sandwiches when you eat them there
And another one for To Go orders where they put all the gristle fat and skin in it
Threw away approximately half of it not even good enough to feed the dog
I got a 1 pound pack at Avon last week and it was excellent
Last time I will go to this location will spend my money at Carolina BBQ
Also, the banana pudding was dry had very little flavor to it. A waste of almost 5 dollars.
Hush puppies were excellent along with the cornbread

Olivia was a very helpful and nice person and Anne was great as well the chilli was good little to much tomato sauce but still good. The ribs was the greatest, the mac and cheese was delicious and those greens man heavenly. Over all this was a great first experience and I would return.

Ordered off doordash. Had high expectations. Boy was I wrong. The chicken was dry. The pulled pork was dry and stuck together. The brisket was falling apart, but no flavor. Why was the banana pudding grainy? Why was there a liquid on top of it? Why were the bananas chewy. On top of that the cornbread was dry without flavor. This whole experience was horrible. Save your money and eat elsewhere

Atmosphere was good. The restaurant appeared clean. The service was good but one employee gets a shout out as she was excellent. Her name was Annie. She was friendly, professional and very helpful. We ordered a brisket sandwich called More Cowbell. It was very good. We also ordered half slab ribs and 2 pieces of chicken. Both were excellent. We didn’t give 5 stars because the BBQ sauce was just ok. The corn pudding and baked beans were ok. The sweet tea was really good. It’s worth going. We’ll definitely be back.

The Fairlawn store is our go to. Always smells amazing and is very clean. I always get brisket, cause it is so delicious, but this time we also tried the smoked turkey, and it was fire. The staff is always welcoming and the leadership team is always visible and engaging. They also have the best half cut tea! Keep up the great food and service!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
